I checked with the hotel and they don't have their own shuttle service, they use a 3rd party. It costs $27 each way. I went through expedia.com and rented a car for $35 total for the weekend, and the hotel has free parking. I save a little money and I'm not on a schedule for pick up and drop off. Just an idea.... Depending on your flight schedule, maybe we could even connect and share the ride.

If I were living on that side of the world, I would most certainly be attending this conference! It is a pity that there are not more Catholic events in the UK or Ireland. It is lovely to be able to together with like minded people,

Howdy! As one of the post-conference activities, I'm trying to plan a service activity, probably with Catholic Charities (perhaps a homeless shelter), but that is still to be decided. It would be incredibly helpful to find out how many would be interested in participating, so please shoot me a CM message/emote letting me know if you're interested. Having a gist for how many people we'll have will help their volunteer coordinator determine suitable activities. THANK YOU. GOD REWARD YOU!!!

I have a question about the ski trip. I would be flying in for the weekend, and getting a shuttle to the hotel. What are the transportation arrangements for getting to and from Eldora? (I'm a long time Loveland fan myself, but the same question applies.)

This conference is well worth the bit of travel and cost- even the cold. I have nothing but great memories and most importantly lots of great tools and perspective from all the speakers, workshops, literature and others I spoke with. I really recommend it. Plus Denver is a pretty sweet place, was there last week for a language conference and the people were friendly and the eateries were great.

Hi Denise - the cost of the conference (including a reception Friday night, continental breakfasts, lunch on Saturday and the dance Saturday night) is $129 until this Wednesday! The hotel is an additional $99/night (plus tax), but if you split the room with people then that reduces your cost a lot! Hope you can make it!

As Denver Catholic Speed Dating LLC, I'm hosting two Catholic Speed Datings pre- and post-conference in coordination with NCSC!! My first one will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday Jan. 27 before the conference in the hotel's plaza area and the second will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday Jan. 29 in the same hotel also - the Westin plaza. Cost is $25 if payment is postmarked to me by Jan. 16 and $30 after. Write me at DateCatholic@aol.com to RSVP and find out payment information. I look forward to the conference! Last time, I taught someone from New Jersey how to ski! Anna B!

Hi Paige (et al.) - Looks like you and Gina are in touch - but for everyone else interested in sharing rooms. I say try this CM comments page first, then Facebook if you're on there (you can post on the NCSC fan page) or you can use the Yahoo group and post there. Usually it's not a problem to find a roommate. As for skiing, the information is now posted on the Post-conference events page at www.NationalCatholicSingles.com. Looks like the trip will be to Eldora, which is relatively close to Westminster. We'll arrange all the transportation (probably carpools) and put more information up as it gets closer. Looking forward to seeing you!!!

Hi Jeffrey - Why have a conference for singles? Well, the short answer is yes, it's a great opportunity to meet other Catholic singles (and yes, several couples HAVE met at the NCSC and gotten married!), but though meeting your future spouse is not guaranteed, meeting lots of other great people and inspiration for living the Faith IS guaranteed! :) The talks are all on topics relevant to our lives as singles, whether we marry soon, pursue a religious vocation or stay single indefinitely. Hope you can make it! It's always a lot of fun!

Hi Rebeca - which cruise did you go on? Was that the one with CatholicSingles.com where Mary Beth spoke? I wasn't on it so I can't say too much, but I do know that the conference is definitely bigger and has more opportunities for developing you faith life as well as socializing. Maybe some other folks have some input? Hope you can come! :-) It's always a great weekend!

Hey Christopher - that's great you're so close to the conference! Even if you have lots of luck on CM and are dating someone at the time of the conference, then come anyway and bring her along too! The talks are always great and helpful for having better relationships as well! :)
