Hi, Monica, it depends when the Cub game ends, usually a 1 pm game is over around 4. I have to walk back to my office to pick up my car & will probably swing by Costco to get some perishable snacks to take downtown with me. Hopefully, I can be to the hotel around 5-5:30.

I have a question which others may be wondering as well: Are we picking up our Cub tickets at the park? I will be working in the morning on Thursday and walking to Wrigley Field from the office, hoping I don't have to go to the hotel for the tickets...

Hi CM'ers: I am planning to meet the group that will be at Queen Of All Saints on Friday morning, and going to the other Basillica's and sightseeing. SO if a guy who is 5'3" asks if the group is from CM it's probably me. IF things change if one of the guys could call me and let me know I would appreciate it. (630) 670-3048 ps I'll be going straight to Queen Of All Saints from home. Hope to meet you all in a couple days. Bye Jack

Just so anyone knows who didn't already ... I'm flying in Friday morning .... Originally had planned to arrive Wednesday but had to cut it short due to my leave situation at work. I do NOT want to find myself having to choose between no Christmas break or Leave Without Pay at the end of the year!

Looking forward to coming up to Chicago next week! Being from Northern Indiana originally, I've done most of the things "out-of-towners" are gearing up to do in their free time. My main reason for attending CM Chicago: meeting the people I befriended online in person! I was a member of CM for 6 years having left in October 2011 after our very successful 3rd Indy Farm Outing. My hope is that many of you will spend time in "lounge", aka hospitality room, where I will have a chance to talk with you. Really looking forward to some fun in the Windy City!

Hi Tracy: This is up there for a few more days, Groupon started with way more tickets than they have sold( they said over 5000 tickets sold the other day) so far according to the article from the trib. It's sitting on the kitchen table and I'm downtown hideing from some much needed RAIN YIP PEE for my lawns. I'm glad CM'ers could use them they could use them!!! BYE

Groupon has a 3 day unlimited ride pass for the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority)covers both trains and buses (not Metra trains or Pace suburban buses). So if you take 4 rides it pays for itself. The normal fare is $2.50 with a transfer that is good for 2 hours. IT is $9.00 on Groupon normally $14.00, it is good for 72 hours from activation. If it works out for you ok. Hope to see some of the CM Chicago group. Who knows it might cool down by then. Bye Jack

Well, I won't be able to make this meetup, unless a miracle happens in the next week or so - making it possible for me to take off 2 workdays (without badly falling behind when I come back the next Monday). I really I wish could join you all. I'm missing all of you already. ((((hugs))))

Tracy, I would like to come up and stay one night...I would like to either come up on Friday and leave Saturday or come up Saturday and leave Sunday...I am wondering if you would still talk someone for just that small portion of the trip and if so, is there much of a difference in price between Friday and Saturday? I think Ann, Michelle, and Mary (Indy gang) might still have space in their room...I haven't checked as I just finally decided on this (pending what you say). Thanks, Helen P. S. You can also message me on FB.

I sent an email out to all those on the Guest list.. Incase you are not on the interested guest list, here is the info....
April 1st deadline is fast approaching
Hotel rooms are booked, Roommate selection is done, Tickets to most events are booked for all of those who have signed up
ANYONE still thinking about joining us or who has not signed up thus far WE STILL HAVE SPACE FOR YOU...
After April 1st, Activity fee goes UP... Sign up before the rates are changed or contact me about getting locked in to the current rates.
.I will be putting a limit on how many more people I can accommodate- due to factors such as enough tickets bought or being held and how many more spaces available at venues, ie Sea Dog and the Party Trolley- we are filling up fast.......... Signing up sooner, rather than later would be the best choice to avoid disappointment.
If you are still interested in attending, please CONTACT me ( Tracy) at CMChicagoV2012@aol.com
I am happy to help if you are sitting on the fence for one reason or another.

Great idea about the segways.. I have always wanted to do it.. I dont make it apart of the scheduled activities because not everyone would want to do it. However it would be a geat way to see the city with a group during FREE TIME.. The problem with renting them at night is we have ALL our group activities at night.. Thurs, Friday and Saturday.. all our activities start at about 6pm.. But I do encourage anyone to get a group for an afternoon on Friday or Sat or if you come in early on Wed or Thurs.. or if you stay late til Monday! :D

Fence Sitter Rob here Deanne... I have decided to go ahead and sign up for CM Chicago V, since I wasn't part of CM for the first four CM Chicago events. My registration will be a day or two late, but I'll hope and pray that it gets there before the event sells out. I figured that I would regret NOT going, but it is highly unlikely that I would ever regret attending a CM event.

Probably not long Ann.. LOL Seeing as I just posted the event on Feb 1st.. we are doing pretty well thus far.. Of course the real list of confirmations that I get March 1st is the one that really counts. Hopefully everyone will confirm in time before the event possibly sells out.

I was really looking forward to attending this event, then I came to the realization that this is on the same weekend as my 45th class reunion from St. John Vianney in Northlake, IL and guess whos running it!, Yes those of you that know me, know the answer. I started planning the reunion in July of 2011. I could attend the Thursday and Friday during the day events and then rejoin the group for the Sunday events if that would be allowed? Let me know?

The Indy CMers have been waiting for this since we heard it was coming next summer. I see Ann-266128 and Tim-100809 have already signed up... but expect more than a few more form Indy to show up. I'm a "maybe" but it's on my calendar and I'm planning on attending.
