CM Windsor! - 2005-11-04: Attendance to date:

Two hotel rooms have been booked as of today. I believe 7 people are confirmed attending based on my earlier Friday e-mail. Some do not need a room and are coming over from Detroit.

Concerns, comments?

I never thought about that. :sorry:

I just assumed everybody would have their own rooms with a single bed. The rooms were based on single occupancy. Should not be a problem if you call and tell them you want to change.

Richard
Well to off set the price......... we have always had rooms with double beds......

ESP for the women............... WE don't mind having a PJ party............. I would not go if I had to stay in a room by myself! Can you call the hotel and see what the $$ is for a room with double beds ??? These are the rooms that need to be booked................. I think its a waste of money for everyone to have their own rooms when the cost could be split....... I know more men than women would want to have one to themselves! But us chicks would rather have a partner in crime! :veryhappy:
Tracy:

Just saw your message.

O.K.

I called the Windsor Travelodge and changed some of the rooms to double queen. We still have 25 rooms available, until the 10th (hey :crossfingers: I am the only one who has booked so far, I hope that does not remain). 12 rooms non smoking single, 8 rooms non smoking double, 3 rooms smoking single and 2 rooms smoking double. All pricing remains as is whether the room is double occupancy or single occupancy, that is $99.00 per night plus tax canadian.

I have also confirmed that on site parking is an additional $10.00 per night.

Remember everybody, the block booking is only good until this Monday.

Richard
I called and made my reservation, HOWEVER they did say that there were NO double beds reserved........ I told them you called and reserved them......... Long story short........... they did say that they would hold the last 3 double bed rooms... But all the rooms drop tomorrow................

Has anyone else made their reservations?

Events, activities, etc.: Hello everybody:

Well, it was not my idea to take over this event. Just to help out for accomodation or whatever. Jeanne (original proponent)...are you out there?

I don't know what events are desired, or have an interest.

The only other thing I was going to do was to call Assumption church to verify a mass. I had also thought about calling my old buddies at the Amherstburg K of C for a fourth degree honour guard.

RE: RE: CAN::Windsor - CM Windsor! - 2005-11-04:
Hello Everybody!

I have been able to secure a block of rooms for our event at the Travelodge Windsor Downtown. Twenty Five rooms have been set aside in a group booking for November 4 and 5, 2005. They are making available 20 non smoking and 5 smoking rooms for us. The rate is $99.00 per night (Cdn) or about $85.00 (US). Parking is another $10.00. The block is being held until October 8, 2005.

To reserve please call 1-519-258-7774 and quote Block # 51789975 for Catholic Connections (Uhh my mistake, I should have said Catholic Match!).

The hotel is a short walk to the Casino.

Richard
These rooms have double beds right, Richard! Just making sure! :veryhappy:

My understanding is no, not to get in. The problem is your return to the US.

But as of now there is not a "requirement" for a passport either way.

I just booked mine though.

I will be changing to a definite attendance.

RE: RE: RE: Flights: Hello:

If anybody is flying into Toronto then onto Windsor, the Windsor airport is very conveniently accessible to downtown.

As an alternative, VIA rail is available from downtown Toronto to downtown Windsor quite reasonably..

Flying into Metro Detroit then coming over probably makes the most sense though.

I guess I should change my "proable" to a "definite" attendance.

Possible events, if people are interested, could be a Windsor Spitfires hockey game, a potential tour of the Chrysler Mini Van plant, Casino (of course).

What else may people be interested in? I know of some museums.
