No. I do not believe in corporal punishment in any situation. In my way of thinking requiring children to make ammends for what they have done and/or taking away a privilege works much better and prepares them for real life.

When i went to catholic school that nun could wield that yardstick and the priest could use that paddle! We had up to 44 students in a class and that nun could hear a pin drop if she wanted to. Our s.a.t. scores showed us to be one year ahead of public schools. What's more is if you got beat down by the yardstick or the paddle you'd have another whuppin waiting for you when you got home!
