I was disappointed. He kept switching back and forth from Spanish to English so I couldn't follow a lot of what he was saying. From what I know, English is still the national language of the U.S. I doubt he would have addressed the French in Arabic, or the Germans in Turkish, so why the Americans in Spanish. I thought it was blatantly disrespectful to the American people. And I speak a fair amount of Spanish.

I was blessed to be in Yonkers with young people from our diocese. The Holy Father is truly an inspiration man...My daughter, who rarely leaves my side in large crowds, ran towards the Pope Mobile as he came from the main grounds of the seminary to the athletic fields. The security was worth it. Hats off to the Police and Firefighters in Yonkers...
