Winter snow is gorgeous! It is glorious to hike in the snow with my dog. Its just magic! I grew up in PA, lots of snow and now I live in KY where it stays for a few hours so I run outside to shovel and play. Dress right, be prepared and snow is a blast! No fun for those living in the negative numbers though - I get it!

I lived in Chicago and actually didn't mind the cold or snow. You get used to it when it's part of everyday living. My kids actually miss it. Now, however, I live in Houston and couldn't imagine going back to the cold. I love winters in Houston.

I get excited at the first few good white covered blankets but after months of it and the slush, tall snow berms you can't see around and cars are dirty and the more scrapping of windows before going anywhere.....the days are shorter I get tired...... I long for Spring and get excited when little green blades of grass start showing, buds form on the trees and everything is at a new stage of the cycle of life!

Snow is beautiful. I love seeing snow and how excited my dog gets playing in it. We get sun, rain, but the weather is not too extreme either way here in Vancouver. We've had a bit longer winter than we usually do; but that's a good thing. We'll be hosting the winter Olympics here next year! so we're praying for lots of it!

Winter brings a silence and peace not found in the other seasons. There isn't the Summer noises of lawm mowers and all. To be cozy and warm inside while watching the snow fall and know that each snowflake is unique and individual just like we are leaves me in wonder. Winter can lay its blanket so carefully upon God's creation making it twinkle and sparle and a pure white! To go outside and breathe in the cold fresh air into you lungs makes you feel alive and thankful to God that you are no matter what life may bring to you. I would miss being in a climate that didn't have the seasons as we do in Michigan to enjoy. Blessing to all!
