It makes it difficult to know whether to contact someone when doing a search as you have no idea what their criteria is ie.age, logistically compatible, physical attributes i.e height/wt or what/where we match comparatively ntil you read their essays which can be very long.. I'm very disappointed because, in my search and in reading so many profiles, find that we don't match for reasons listed above. etc. The search options should be expanded to be more specific. It would save so much wasted time. Thanks.

I think video dates are awesome. You have an almost real word scenario meeting with this person you are interested in. You can then make a safe assessment on this individual, before you finally meet in person. An almost fool-proof approach towards characterization and assessment of the individual you are interested in.

i think i agree with the woman's comment about screening for older CM members. I am 60 and I think I have to go through all these matches--too much time. more questions would be good also a kind way to say "i'm not interested" due to location; photo; beliefs; family situation; etc. some members have just said "no" to chat but have given no reason--others distance or family problems--help?! That is why i voted for "guided"

Yes, activity status. Also, letting opinions in the fora stand, but having a learned priest occasionally commenting on the theological / Church misinformation one often sees. Even just in a separate discussion column.
Also, not revealing the real number of active profiles seems to me an obvious way of boosting subscriptions.
*** Admin. deleted my last post to this effect. Possibly it raised unsettling questions. Thank you

I agree with Jessie. If CM can improve w/ the chat rooms times, then I'm sure this would capture more members. I avoid all other chat rooms due to the uncontrolled content and unkown entities that is on the other end. Chat rooms are better "ice breakers" if not a decent way just to "mingle" and pass time w/fellow Catholics.

Guided Communication is too slow. Maybe some generic Interview questions that a person could use for their interview. I would rather see Regional Matching, other than State, 500 miles, or entire country. Being able to choose more than one Region would be great: Southeast, South, Mid-Atlantic, as an example. OR more mileage: 1000 miles, 1500 miles, etc.
