Probably, I will hesitate to give up all types of technology. Instead, I can reduce or minimize time for using some of them.

TV, cause it fills up left over time and keeps me posted on some news, info and weather.

When I'm busy I don't miss it, but I'd miss it more than other technology.

I live in a remote location and my internet connection keeps me in touch with what is happening in the world and with my family. I would hate to have to do without that instant contact with family and the "outside world". Reality is I did without it before and the world would not end if I had to again. But I would miss it for sure!

I love googling! It's amazing to be able to look up the answers to random questions that come along during my day. I don't know if I could make it without an online dictionary/ thesaurus!

Hmmm....interesting question. If all technology disappeared, I think the pace of society would be considerably less than what it has been in the past 100 years....which is probably what evolution has physiologically-endowed us for anyway.

I put internet, but TV was a close second. I'm such a news junkie! But then, again, the internet has news too, so internet would be harder to give up.

Cell phone is very important to me since I travel some. Less than 3 months ago, I was traveling from West Palm to Miami - when I got a flat tire. I was glad that I could call AAA.

Good poll! I do not watch TV on a regular basis. I get most of my news from the radio since I spend a lot of time in my car. My cell phone keeps me connected with the outside world, as well as my land line phone (yes, they still exist!!!). I also spend time connecting with others face to face!

March 5th, 2010 - Marycatherine-502857 said:

you can do all that was mentioned in the poll by internet.

TV just go to the affiliate's web site or hulu.

Cell phone/Phone Magicjack or chat with mic.

Text go to the persons provider and type in their number and send.

facebook/networking ... internet

games go to game sites

March 4th, 2010 - Olivia-111035 said:

Video games? No biggie.

Television? For the most part, I gave that up a while ago.

Facebook? After friends talked me into signing up a little over a year ago, one could assume I'm addicted, but I think I'd be fine without it. Of course, that's what all addicts say! :)

Texting? I text far more than I call...

Cell phone? Pay phones are few and far between - I've returned home for my cell phone...

Internet connection? Don't even THINK about taking away my internet!!! >.

Television has some good programs still, but its harder and harder to get decent ones. Its a sad thing the way its not as moral as it could be. TV is nice to relax in front of. EWTN is great. I agree cell phones are sending micro-waves to the brain. I use the speaker as much as possibe, don't know if that helps for sure. I like the internet as a source of information and communication.

Well folks, internet is interresting and important, but since I had it at home, I am always sitting in my room internetting and I rarely see my family or sit with them. When we had only the tv every night we gathered around the tv but now. I miss that! Internet is adicting and I think that they only should have it at schools and work, because we are loosing our social and family life.

It is 0116 hrs on Sunday night , and I am awake, because I've been working on a Power-Point presentation which I must present to our staff on Thursday. Ugh. I think I lost track of the time. I'm guilty of OCD tonight for sure, anyway. I just love all the exciting features one can do on powerpoint. It is so easy to gather info from the internet to make my slides! Wow, I can remember spending hour upon hour in the library during my college days. Gather info on the internet is just so easy! Kids today have such an advantage, academically. I've got my slides turning, crashing, turning into rain and confetti, and slamming. I think I'll use blinds for moving to my next slide. It is soooo exciting! I love computer technology! Yeah, yeah, I'm a nerd! LOL! Thanks God, for making all things possible!
