Very annoyed that corporations are experiencing record profits while wages are at an all time low. It's as if they are trying to undo all that makes America great. But, hey, SOMEBODY'S got to build the pyramids, right? And if we are indeed a christian nation, they aren't acting like it.

Bleak outlook if leadership (or rather lack of it) remains. I firmly believe that a lot of what we are going through is due to the immorality of our nation. A quote I heard: "Fiscal bankruptcy always follows moral bankruptcy", and I know we must pray the Rosary daily for world peace. Our mother will not fail us. She promised. Sadly, I don't think that many people do so. Quite scary. And I'm a Realtor! Thank God for my faith that keeps me sane!

This nation needs to turn back to God, and honor him . This great nation of ours get heavily involved in corporate America and forgets that this nation was built under God. Maybe if we start honoring Him and His son our economy will recover. There is so many corporations in America that support issues that are very improper in the eyes of God, like aborting little babies.

Being in real estate for ten years I rode the high and in the last few years, definitely the low. The only real estate business is bank owned repos and short sales. THere is no happy ending, there are no happy sellers and buyers. People are losing their homes every day. Until improvement in jobs become prevelent, we will be in this for a few years or more that's for sure. True, home prices and rates are at historical lows, but when no one can qualify without a job, it is just one big vicious cycle. I believe we will get out of this mess eventually, but we need more jobs and hope:)

The US Economy has had it bad break, but the worst that it went through was falling for the scheme of 'foreign investments' a better word for plunder. The Economy will remain in the doldrums for quite some time, until America gets smarter again. There will be no actual recovery until the jobs recovery kicks in, if it ever does.

The economy is very clearly improving (slowly) . . . but . . . from the worse conditions our country (AND the global economy) has seen in 70 years. Under the circumstances it is highly understandable that some would suggest (or ACTUALLY believe) that things are getting worse.

Jobs are not returning. Without jobs, consumers have no money to spend. If Consumers are unwilling to spend, corporate heads don't make any money. If corporate heads don't make any money, they're unwilling to invest in employees. If they are unwilling to invest in employees, the consumers don't have the jobs, perpetuating a vicious cycle.

I just read what I had written. I sound like a racist. I am not. I am a immigrant. Once deported back to my own country with all my family. At that time it was called 're-patriation'. I later on immigrated legally. Educated myself. Raised a family and educated them. Adopted a child from another foriegn country. Served in Vietnam. I am proud of God and country. I have paid with taxes and battle scares. I have earned the rights of the constitution. I see a cloud over our flag. God will help us...I still believe in miracals. Our needs now are: JOBS FOR AMERICANS. A US built economy by the gods people.Feed those who are unable to work, not those that are too lazy...and use the muddled system.

Bring back ''MADE IN THE USA''...give jobs to the our countries people. Stop giving to people who are 2cd and 3rd generation welfare. Educate and direct them into national projects. Help the retired tax payers with social security. Charity is great ...but, supporting other nations is not in our national budget now. Help your people by not creating a welfare country. I see now more non-working american minorities driving exspensive autos...buying Big screen tv's on credit. Why? Because we have just given them food stamps, paid housing, free medical and pay no taxes. They owe nothing...because the former middle class has just paid for it all thru some govt program. Soon we will all have a welfare tax added on to our pay checks. I am retired and live on a fixed income. When I went to the Social Security office to set up my retirement.....there were around 90 people holding numbers waiting to see about their benifits...as I looked around the room....I counted only 4 white seniors. The second time I went there were only two white seniors and 90 some odd others. People go to your social security office...count the numbers and do the math. God bless those that really need it. Damn those that steal from the poor box of America. Pray to god that we put an end to this by finding a honest elected offical to manage our country. God bless us!!

Louis has it right! I have been saying the same thing for years. Both parties are controlled by the same group, the mega rich. They play us off of one another while they get richer; they have divided us the question is have they conquered us? A while back I received an email that was a joke but sadly was very true. It said "I wish that congressmen would wear suits like NASCAR drivers, that way we could tell who their corporate sponsors are". Those that think that it is OK to give away our manufacturing jobs are fools. The US can't keep spending more that it takes in, pretty much like your own personal economy. How long can you spend more than what you take in before you loose it all? When you buy inexpensive things at Walmart from third world countries you are voting saying that it is ok, you are spending your children's and grandchildren's future. We can compete with Canada and Western Europe we can not compete with third world slaves making $2.00 for a ten hour day. Wake up people.

Fr. Corapi it right, the real threat is morality. We can't expect God to bless our country when people keep voting in immoral leaders. Obama is the most pro-abortion president ever, that sent a clear message to God as to what our counrty thinks of His laws. We should expect the economy to get much worse.....

I just saw an article today that said Obama might not win in next race. I think it is safe to say that our economy is the way it is because the past president's have always been out to help other countries who are in an economic rut. They just haven't stopped to see the poverty level here in our country!

Dreaming, and Sloganeering are not what is needed. We are now seeing what happens when you elect bitter socialists to high office. They see every problem as the Govt. needs to strip $$ from the greedy capitalists and give it to the poeple. The problem is that you need capitalists to create jobs and wealth. The government cannot do that and in particular for the current group in power. The 80's and 90's were the engine that lifted huge numbers of people out of poverty. In my family, those would get off their a#$ and get it are still suffering and crying that the Gvt. should do something. I went back to college, bought a reasonable house and both kids are College Grads. My brothers are in the exact place there were. Nothing given to you will last.. You have to make a bit of your own destiney.. Just my quick (and somewhat disjointed) thoughts.. g

A big change in November will send a message that the American people dissagree with the direction this country is heading. The reason this country is great is because of free enterprise. In the constitution we are given the persuit of life, liberity and happiness. They are not guarenteed. Smaller government not government banks, healthcare and insurance.

With real unemployment at 20%+ (http://www.shadowstats.com/) and interest rates poised to go higher this year from printing all this worthless money, things are not good for the future of American business. You really have to be ignorant or anti-American to have voted for the crazy Kenyan who doesn't even know how many states there are in this country (see the moron in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws). And with the Egyptian foreign minister telling the world that Barry admitted to being a muslim ( http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=166905), I mean...really. Turn your TV's off people and pick up a book to turn your mind on already! He's a Marxist liar and he's less intelligent than Bush, not that he was any good. At all.

The real problem with the current administration lies not in its economic policies, we've seen the like in the past, but its blatant disregard for the basic rule of law. Obama has time and time again overstepped and violated the constitution in his approach to running the country. A prime example is health care. The federal government has no constitutional jurisdiction in health care as set forth by the 10th amendment. Or how he "saved" the auto industry by allowing the car companies to illegally violate their contracts with their dealerships without repercussion. Don't be too distracted by the economic side, there's a whole lot more going on with this administration. What good is a booming market when your fundamental liberties begin to come under attack?

Well, there are no such things as out of cycle elections, it's constitutionally impossible. The constitution clearly sets forth that elections are to be held every 2 years with presidential elections held every 4 years. There are clearly defined rules for presidential succession. Upon death or other such incapacitation, resignation, or impeachment and removal of a president, there is a statutory line of presidential succession starting with Vice President, then speaker of the house, then president pro tempore of the senate and so forth, all the way down to the secretary of the most recently instituted federal department, which would these days be Homeland Security.

As the great Milton Friedman said "I think the government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem and very often makes the problem worse." So long as governments believe they have a role in the economy's recovery, the economy will, at best, sluggishly recover. To take a thought from Thoreau, thank God the economy is made of Indian rubber, or else it would never manage to bounce over the obstacles legislators are continually putting in its way.

The only jobs being created are government jobs, which only help to bring the economy down, as these people don't produce anything. The REAL unemployment rate is around 17%, as many people have stopped looking for work. These little runs to the upside are only temporary. I agree with Rebecca, times will get worse, (maybe for quite a while) before they get better. Our president is no friend of this country, he will keep the Fedgov interfering in the economy, which only hurts things longterm.

I have to agree with Ron below. Several years ago, an orthodox Catholic newspaper talked about just that. I have seen it happening. Maybe that's why they are trying to do away with our Constitution? And what about the paper dollar? We (U.S. Canada, and Mexico) will be called a "region" and we won't have our wonderful country anymore. How will everyone feel when they cannot think of themselves as "an American" any more? A sad, sad, sad, day is coming!

Prediction: the market will crumble when people least expect it. Dump stocks now and put your money in hard assets like gold, silver, and property. The dollar will be replaced by a world currency or a currency combining Mexico, Canada, and US (Amero). The Private Bankers of the world know if they can control the flow of currencies then they can manipulate mass populations and global markets. Sorry about the gloom and doom, just being honest. God Bless.
