I prefer voice to voice and face to face but I do take advantage of today's technology where it really fits. I like sending photos to my friends and I text friends to see how they are doing through the day, or to send directions or a web link to someone.

Truthfully, (as I always have) I dislike text message for various reasons, mainly due impersonal communication that caused me to feel discourage to read or to reply. Im more of the phone talker guy which is awesome! However, not everyone nowadays are into phone calls so I simply have no choice but to respect their perferences in communication. Hope this make sense?

All the time. I would prefer to talk to someone on the phone, but that doesn't always work out because they are busy. Sending a text message is letting someone know that you are thinking of them and for most of the time to have them text you back when they have a moment. If its urgent I'll call them.

I feel like I need to learn to text because everyone seems to be doing it..and I don't want to seem like an old foggy. But I have never really been into it. I would much prefer phone or face-to-face conversation. And I can wait till a convenient time or leave an e-mail or voice-mail.

Texting is how I can keep in touch with my younger brother and friends while I am at work. I am at work 2:30pm to 8:30 am the next day. the past month and a half I have had only 1 day off a week. Some days i give my brother a quick 30 min phone call if I can. If i didn't have texting or a cell phone I would be completely swallowed by my work and a dull boy :)

I hate texting!!! I realize it has it's purpose when you can't get a message to someone on the cell but for any other reasons, such as back and forth in a conversation, I see no need for it. In some case it's called avoidance. Hearing someone's voice is a lot more meaningful than cryptic message I was in a meeting, where this young girl sat during most of the meeting and was texting through the entire meeting!!!

I find that it is used too much with my friends or even more so with dates. Important type of topics are texted. I cannot understand that. It's better to pick up the phone and briefly chat so you have back and forth. Too much misunderstanding can happen with texts. It's good for simple things such as texting meet me at 6 or hi thinking of you. Am I wrong?

We're known as the "txt capital" (of the world? haha) filipinos are really thoughtful and expressive via texting.. we regularly send our daily greetings and GMs (general messages) and is often send to a group of friends, or to everyone! The same reason why UNLIMITED promos exists. :)
