Yes, but much of it upsets me. Many writers give a very liberal slant on every subject. . I see the reason why, many attended very liberal colleges that are barely catholic.

No, I don't even know where to get one.

When I was a kid there were paper boys in the back of the church after mass yelling "Tab-LET, Tab-LET"'

Times have changed

I enjoy the articles in our Diocesan newspaper, the Observer. I may not read all of them every week, but I like to checkout the upcoming events that are happening throughout the Diocese.

glance through it. It's not worth serious reading. We're talking about San Jose, California's "The Valley Catholic." A monthly that is mostly a chronicle (with photos) of the bishop's activities for the previous month. Great bishop. Lousy paper. And the fact that it's a monthly renders it useless as a source of information.

For what ever reason, after the death of my husband, I no longer received the paper. Ironically, I was the one who read it before his death. I guess it is still a man's world in the Catholic Church.

'Catholic Standard and Times' the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's paper is still going strong. 'The Dialogue' the Diocese of Wilmington's paper was just discontinued last month. :( I go to church in DE, but live in PA, so my family used to get both.

I don't believe we have a diocesan newspaper in Columbus, OH... If we have it would be advertised and I've never seen such advertisement in the the parish bulletin. Now, there is a section in my parish bulletin titled "In and Around the Diocese of Columbus" with briefs of upcoming and scheduled events in the Diocese. (My parish is St Joseph Cathedral.)
