Dennis, the Church has condemned the death penalty but the right-wing Catholic bishops don't care, they just want to see Obama lose so they play word games about the death penalty not being "intrinsically evil" so it's OK that a retarded man was executed; if Rick Perry, who did the killing, was running instead of Rmoney, thee bishops would be trying to get Catholics to vote for him; same way the bishops always support our wars which don't measure up to the just war criteria; "pro-life" is a great misnomer

Little late to the party here, I guess, because I can't seem to be able to take poll (or don't know how), but just joined Catholic Match. Most always attend San Francisco Walk for Life and take part in 40 Days For Life. Most important to me is the end of abortion and euthenasia!!

Nigel, the Church has never condemned the death penalty and certainly not corporal punishment in principle. Read St. Thomas Aquinas. Evil men exist and some times they just need to be put down like the animals they are. I would even want to be put to death if I was psychopathic murderer or something like that. Society has the duty and therefore the right to defend itself.

I got a message regarding my Feb. 4th entry. Let me clarify that I am well aware of what the March for Life means. My point was how is it that this Catholic site has a CATEGORY entitled "March for What" included in the poll and worse yet that people chose that answer in the poll.

I have been to the March many times. This one was so cold, probably in the 30's and raining off and on but the place was full of wonderful warriors, sooo many teens, no complaints, even though some were soaking wet. Because of their numbers it must have taken hours for the whole crowd to reach the Supreme Court. The police were courteous and seemed to be glad to see us. I couldn't get close enough to hear the speakers, my favorite part, but I know how wonderful they were from past experience. We will win. God bless America

This was my 9 th trip to the March, once again I was overjoyed seeing all the youth who get involved in this event. I brought a small group from Vermont and was fortunate to attend the Youth Rally and Mass at the armory. This was our first year at the armory, we have been fortunate to be at the Verizon Center for the last 5 years. I am always so impressed at how well the teens observe and participate in the Mass
