Your host is Edward-4511 a.k.a. "ZOOM" who is an avid adaptive skier.
Mass for the Sunday obligation will be at either the St. Bernard Chapel on Snowshoe Mountain on Saturday late afternoon/evening, or Sunday morning at St. John Newman in Marlinton. We can discuss on the weekend & decide what is best.
Inn at Snowshoe
On WV Rt. 66 just east of US 219, Pocahontas County
phone (main Snowshoe Resort number): 304-572-1000

Alternate lodging (in case Inn at Snowshoe runs out):
Marlinton Motor Inn
Room rate $96.95 per night for 2 people - including taxes but before discounts
I WANT TO FINALIZE LODGING ARRANGEMENTS BY MONDAY, JANUARY 15TH.
The main entrance to Snowshoe is on Rt. 66, 3/4 mile east of US 219 in Pocahontas County. (There is another entrance further east.) The Inn at Snowshoe is on Rt. 66 just west of the main entrance.
Marlinton Motor Inn is on US 219, 18 miles south of Snowshoe.
For skiing, I will be "suiting up" in the adaptive skiing building at the Silver Creek area. To get to Silver Creek, drive up the mountain on the main entrance road 4 miles. Just after a sharp reverse turn, the turnoff for Silver Creek will be on your left. Take the left turn and follow this road for a short distance, which takes you right into the parking lot. If you are looking toward the slopes from the parking lot, you will see a series of small buildings - the adaptive ski building is the one farthest to the left.

Thank you everyone!!!:
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to the ski weekend. I received a lot of compliments over the weekend on my organizing. But if no one had come, it would not have been a success. I laid the groundwork, but your participation and enthusiasm made it fun. Hopefully we can do this again next year, and get more people to come.
God bless, Edward

buffet at Brazen Head:
I did not know about the buffet until I called the Brazen Head on Sunday. I don't know why they're doing it that way, and I did not ask why.
The gentleman I spoke with said he did not know for sure at that point what would be on the menu. It won't necessarily be a strictly "Irish" menu - he mentioned lasagna as a possibility, as well as pork, and "Mingo Chicken". I presume the last is a specialty of the house, as the Inn's mailing address is Mingo Village, W.V. :)
Cathy from DC e-mailed me privately saying that she suspects she and her friends will stay on the mountain Saturday night. Unless someone objects between now and Thursday night, I'll call Brazen Head that night and tell them to expect 5 or 6 in our party. Five would include Michelle, Tim, Becky & daughter, and me. (Michelle, is your friend coming?)

I just had a "Duuuuuuuuh" moment...:
I just noticed that on the schedule, I had the restaurant for Friday night listed as Cheat Lake Pizza Company. It should be Cheat Mountain, not Lake. Cheat Lake is near Morgantown - Becky and Tim, if you take I-68 past Morgantown on your drive down, you'll cross over the lake about 9 minutes before you hit I-79. But you'll still have about 3 hours to drive to get to Snowshoe!
Anyway, it's fixed now. :)
