WELCOME TO LIFEST 2010. MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC and More MUSIC!!! Looking for a CM event this summer? Make a memory at Lifest 2010! Join one of the country’s largest Christian Music Festivals! Lifest is so much more than music; it’s a place to reconnect with friends and meet new ones. It’s a place where you can have the time of your life! It’s a place where you can abandon your inhibitions and experience life like never before. It’s a place for you and God.
~ $50 per night per person at the retreat center (This includes some meals)
~ $84 for a 4 day pass to Lifest event - You must purchase that on your own at www.lifest.com (You can also purchase a 1 day pass.)
~ Some meals are included at the retreat center - mainly breakfast and some lunches.
~ Remaining meals are paid for on your own at either Lifest or a restaurant that we go to as a group.
~ Admission to any other events scheduled for the weekend are paid for by you if you choose to go. So make sure you bring enough cash. (Last year we might have spent around $40 per person for the other fun things we did. The thing is that you can pick and choose - Lifest is the main event, but we are hoping to have some other outdoor fun as well.)
Even though Lifest is the main event, I will be planning other CM events in the area aside from Lifest. You may pick and choose what you want to do, but you need to let me know so that I can make the appropriate reservations.
Clarification to all reading this: Come 1 day, 2 days, or come the whole time. I will have meeting points for you to join us whenever you are available. Just sign up to get on the emails sent out to the group. I will provide my cell phone number to all participants once I know they are definitely coming.
More than 150 musical acts will appear at Lifest 2010!
Other Wisconsin Events:
* Stop at Holy Hill between the commute from Milwaukee airport & Oshkosh for time of prayer & solitude. Walk the outdoor Stations of the Cross. http://www.holyhill.com/
* Tour of the EAA AirVenture Museum - http://museum.eaa.org/
* Tour of a CHEESE Factory - What is a visit to Wisconsin without Cheese? Simon's Specialty Cheese - http://www.simonscheese.com/
* Canoeing in Waupaca
* Outlet Mall Shopping - http://www.primeoutlets.com/
The retreat center that we stayed at last year has been confirmed again for this year! Wondeful & affordable lodging.
For those of you who would be flying in for the event, you would want to fly into Milwaukee, Green Bay or Appleton and rent a car to drive to Oshkosh. Cheapest flights for those of you from out of state would probably be to Milwaukee. Go to www.kayak.com to find good rates. Do a little research. Do a mapquest from the airport to Oshkosh.
Some of the other highlights of the Lifest event are:
A schedule of events will be made for CM members to view prior to coming so that you can decide which days you want to come. Come for the whole weekend or come for a day. It is your choice.
Find cool stuff that you’d never see at the mall. Eat food on sticks and experience the bliss of deep fried cheese curds. Interested in being a vendor? Scroll to the bottom of this page.
A display of sparkly fireballs and loudness. And to top it all off… it’s in the dark. Friday, July 10th!
A personal way for you to creatively express yourself to God. Talk to Him, tell Him things and get to know Him better!
SUNDAY MORNING MASS
Sunday Morning Mass at Lifest… 9:00 AM in The Lounge
Gather around a big bonfire and sing songs – much more fun than when you went camping up north…and a lot less risk of being eaten by bears.
FREE open-play Disc Golf Course located across the street in Winnebago County Park.

I love to come, Osh. is only 35 min. from my house, and if you do the Wapaca river trip it on 15 min. away. How do I get a Fri.night retreat ticket or how would I find you all on Fri. morning? I am kind of new, and this would be first event. thanks for your help and the work you are doing to get things set up for us. cathy 555571

I would have to get out more to know if they were any good Polish Restaurants. LOL! My idea of a good Polish restaurant is going to a diner at my church.... Cheese curds are a must of course and they will have the fried variety at the Festival. And Simon's Cheese Factory is awesome, the cheese is ridiculously fresh there. Too good.

On the fence people, come join the fun. As I will be baking cookies for those that make it :-)
Hopefully I will remember to bring items to connect to the projector for movies, video games (Nintendo Wii anyone?), etc. But don't get me wrong, I still plan on seeing/hearing a lot of live music starting on Wednesday evening with The Letter Black and Fireflight.
