** 5/19/2011 UPDATE **
You Do NOT want to miss this event! This is one of the best events that you could attend to meet more CMers. I am actually quite shocked that we don't have 75 people signed up for this already. It has all of the elements of an absolute summer blast! Great music, great people, great food, great location, great weather. There is a reason that I love going to Lifest and I want to share the fun with the rest of CM-land. Come join us!
***$55 Deposits due by June 3rd***
If you want to stay at the retreat center, you MUST send us a deposit. Otherwise, you will need to find a hotel and those are very difficult to find during the festival. The deposit is applied to your first night at the retreat center. You will need to pay $55 for each additional night that you are staying. This also includes food that we purchase for breakfasts & some lunches.
Please email Jason for address to send your deposit.
4/20/11 UPDATE**** The Retreat Center Has Been Confirmed!***
Please email Janet directly at email@example.com so that you can be included on the future email updates, which may include important attached documents.

WELCOME TO LIFEST 2011. www.lifest.com MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC and More MUSIC!!! Looking for a CM event this summer? Make a memory at Lifest 2011! Join one of the countrys largest Christian Music Festivals! Lifest is so much more than music; its a place to reconnect with friends and meet new ones. Its a place where you can have the time of your life! Its a place where you can abandon your inhibitions and experience life like never before. Its a place for you and God.
~ We will be staying at the retreat center again, which provides such a great sense of community. (Lower cost than a hotel.)
~ Cost of the Lifest ticket for a 4 day pass to Lifest event - You must purchase that on your own at www.lifest.com (You can also purchase a 1 day pass.) The range is between $60-$78, depending on when you purchase it.
~ Some meals are included at the retreat center - mainly breakfast and some lunches.
~ Remaining meals are paid for on your own at either Lifest or a restaurant that we go to as a group.
~ Admission to any other events scheduled for the weekend are paid for by you if you choose to go. So make sure you bring enough cash. (Last year we might have spent around $40 per person for the other fun things we did. The thing is that you can pick and choose - Lifest is the main event, but we are hoping to have some other outdoor fun as well.)
Even though Lifest is the main event, I will be planning other CM events in the area aside from Lifest. You may pick and choose what you want to do, but you need to let me know so that I can make the appropriate reservations.
Clarification to all reading this: Come 1 day, 2 days, or come the whole time. I will have meeting points for you to join us whenever you are available. Just sign up to get on the emails sent out to the group. I will provide my cell phone number to all participants once I know they are definitely coming.
More than 150 musical acts will appear at Lifest 2011!

Cheapest flights for those of you from out of state would probably be to Milwaukee. Go to www.kayak.com or www.cheapoair.com to find good rates. Do a little research. Do a mapquest from the airport to Oshkosh. It is your responsibility to find a ride to Oshkosh if you are using public transportation. There is a Greyhound bus that has a route from Milwaukee to Oshkosh.
Contact other attendees for possible carpooling options.

Alright! Let's get this party started. I signed back up for 1 month just to try to drum up some interest.
I want to get more people at the retreat center. They have been very generous in opening up this beautiful building for us. It seems like a sin not to take advantage of it.
- There is a chapel in the building with Christ present
- The basement has a pool table, foosball table, and air hockey table.
- There is a project in the main gathering room, where I can hook up a Nintendo Wii, or laptop for movies
- It is in a great area for a morning walk or jog along Lake Winnebago.

It is less than a month away, yay! I can't wait for the music, fun, and fellowship. Anybody: if you have never attended a CM event before, this was the first one I ever attended, and it is a great one to start with. There is so much to do here, between the music and the side trips, and as nice a bunch of people as you can meet.

Mary - I've been waiting for Lifest to post the finalized schedule of bands. I really didn't want to plan a long day excursion on a day that people want to get to Lifest for one of the best headliners. All side trips are optional. Since most people will be driving to this event, it gives people the flexibilty to drive separately in case they want to get to a band earlier than the rest of the group plans to go. We always have general meeting spots throughout the festival.
I assure you.... it is one of the best CM events that people can attend. The spirit will move you in ways that you didn't know it could. The peacefulness of the retreat center provides the opportunity to escape the fast pace of our lives.
Everyone ~ be sure to check out the schedule of bands at Lifest! www.lifest.com
In past years, we've had someone fly from CA & IN. Others have driven from WV, SC, MN, IL. I understand people's apprehension for this event if you are coming from out of state. Lifest has drawn people who never attended an event before, but now they are event regulars across the country.
