DescriptionChili Anyone? Have you developed a great chili recipe? Or perhaps you have a secret family chili recipe? Heck, even if you just want to come and hang out with some awesome people for lots of fun (sure, you can take our word for that) you should come to the 4th Annual CAMA Indy Chili Cook Off.
We love to see our friends we’ve met at prior events and truly enjoy meeting new friends for a good time. So please check your schedules and make plans to come and join us. Our prior events have drawn people from more than a half dozen other states, come and find out what our Indy events are all about.
If you are flying in, please let us know when you are scheduled to arrive, as we’ll do whatever we can to pick you up. It would be best to arrive by early Saturday afternoon at the latest, so there will be no conflicts with Mass. If you’d like to arrive Friday night, that’s okay too (we’ll try to give you a little Saturday morning tour of our city, if you want).
The event will begin with us gathering for Mass at 5:30 pm at Our Lady Mount Carmel (14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, IN 46032). You can meet us there (we usually sit halfway up the center aisle on the left hand side) or you can bring your chili to Rob's house ahead of time, plan to leave for Mass by 5:00 pm. If you cannot join us for Mass, please meet at Rob’s house (directions distributed via private message) at 7:00 pm.
CHILI COOKS - Please try your best to get your chili entry to Rob’s house (in a crock pot please) by 7:00pm, so we can start the contest as soon as possible. Everyone else will be needed to pitch in with side dishes, snacks, drinks, etc. (suggestions will be provided, if needed).
It is also our custom that anyone is welcome to stay the night. Overnighters at Rob’s house (we’ll squeeze as many in as we can) should bring their own air mattress, bedding and pillow. There is also a hotel very close by, if you’d prefer that (www.comfortsuites.com #IN115). Please let us know if you will be staying overnight (at Rob’s or hotel) in advance. If you are staying overnight, please also bring a breakfast item to share with everyone. As always, our events are BYOB.
There will also be ice-breaker games, board games & karaoke (for those brave enough).
Please RSVP and tell us the following in your comment:
- Are you going to Mass? Meeting at Mass or at Rob’s?
- Are you staying the night? At Rob’s or hotel?
- What are your pitch-in item(s)? Breakfast too, if you’ll be here
- Your guests' name(s), if you're bringing anyone

Had a SUPER time at the Chili cook-off! A BIG thanks to Rob, Dawn, and Chris for their efforts in organizing this event! It gets bigger and better every year! Also enjoyed meeting new CM'ers. A Special thanks to Bill for promoting chili #14 when it was time for the voting! I didn't realize at the time it was my entry! lol
