Join fellow Catholic single men and women for a fun Labor Day weekend in the city of Roses, Portland, Oregon!
Friday, August 30: For those who are able to arrive earlier in the day, we will meet on the Portland Waterfront at 5pm and take a leisurely walk along the picturesque Willamette River, enjoying the shops, the boats, and the unique people of Portlandia.
Attendees can start gathering for dinner at 6:45 at Huber's, Portland's oldest restaurant (http://www.hubers.com/index.html) - This meal will serve as a meet and greet and will kick things off with a bang!
After that, there's nothing like wandering around watching Portlanders in their native habitat, with plenty of live music and pubs along the way!
Saturday, August 31: On Saturday at 9:30am, we will gather at the Portland Saturday Market, home of some of Portland's most unique! We will follow with lunch at the varied and sometimes surprising food carts.
After lunch, we will carpool to the majestic and gorgeous Multnomah Falls (http://www.oregon.com/attractions/multnomah_falls). Those who wish to hike to the top may do so, the others may relax, tour the gift shop and enjoy the scenery.
Back to the hotel for some r&r, and thendinner, after which, there will be a dance for all, featuring country, ballroom, freestyle, swing, etc. Come cut a rug with us!!
Sunday, September 1: On Sunday, we will meet at the famous Marian shrine The Grotto (http://www.thegrotto.org/) for 10am Mass, followed by a tour of the grounds and a group rosary, after which we will have lunch. From there, those who wish can take a tour of what is arguably the most Portland-y part of Portland (and featured prominently in Portlandia), the Hawthorne District. We will all reconvene for dinner at the historic McMenamins Kennedy School (http://www.mcmenamins.com/KennedySchool) and brewery at 6.
Monday, September 2: For those who have made it through the weekend, we will plan a day catering to whatever folks didn't get a chance to do during the previous three days.
Please email me for hotel information - once we have interest, I will post a link for registration.
Hope to see you there!

Howdy Brother John. Both U of O and OSU..... through the grace of having lived a life well lived, I had the honor and grace to meet a CMer from Grants Pass that participated in CM Memphis II. Always admired you all up there in the Pacific Northwest. Just love you all.
