Sometimes a break is needed to take care of stuff when the winds of change sweep through our lives. Deborah is sure that Michael will do well in this transition. D is still catching up on her zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's from CM RMA II. Not because folks stayed up too late but cuz the lodge where D was staying had loud late nighters every night. D is too old to get by on 4 hours of sleep at night.
D wonders if anyone caught a picture of little Ian, the small boy who scared off the elk on the hiking trail and ran in front of people trying to take a picture of the elk. He was on a hiker's shuttle bus the next day...displaying more of his... ummm... energy. Little Ian was a pip. Ya sure! You betcha!
Colette remembers all that noise, and the phone calls Debbie made to the Admin Building (thanks, Debbie)...... sheesh! It seems that only Deer Ridge Lodge experienced all that noise.
Tom, Colette, and the rest of their hiking crew ran into Ian (and his little sister) the day after Debbie's crew experienced his energy. You could hear him (and his little sister) all over the hiking shuttle. At least he didn't scare away the elk Colette's crew saw on Saturday. Colette will be posting pictures as soon as she has more time.
Colette also wants to add that she, Ann, and Ernie hiked up to the alpine region this year...... quite a feat!! Talk about taking a leap outside one's comfort zone! They had to scale up some rocks next to Timberline Falls to get there....... scary!! No trees up there, just frigid cold wind blowing, and oh yeah..... snow patches. Brrrrr........
