The 1930s-1940s -the generation that grew up with nothing, was willing to sacrifice anything to save everything because they appreciated love and life more than any other thing. Where have gone so wrong since? We have it all, and appreciate nothing. This generation of texts and Facebook and tweets Lady Gag-Gag has nothing on that generation born nearly a century ago. Likely that with a war, WWII, that generation realized that not all that was of the world was a birth right. Every moment was precious, every moment like it might be the last. Maybe I'm being nostaligic for a time I never knew, but one I grew up hearing older people talk about as a child, but I would rather love, live and teach the values of that generation to my children, if I ever have any, than the crass tacky ugly anti-values of this current generation.
