My mom's parrish was just told they can only say these prayers in silence after mass. Does anybody know what the "rules" are around this?

I think some can be made, if properly worded, during mass, as part of the intentions. The other prayers during mass are pretty much set in stone. Part two is that I haven't heard that such prayers must be silent and after mass. normally we have some kind of blessing for this group, or that group during the mass (today's group was expectant families). It may depend on who leads it, or how it is worded.
