Agreed David.....but it does go back on the coach. And all these penalties and miscues.....in the pros anyway...are difference in a ball game many times. These players at times look lethargic....and that too can go back on Garrett. (I hate to bring this up but difference in Mac Brown at the University of Texas....and Bob Stoopes...University of Oklahoma...is Stoopes ALWAYS has his team ready to play) The same holds true in the pros. The teams are so close...it boils down to penalties and turnovers. And Romo DID throw one pic when he had the team on the move...so some of the blame falls on him. Overall, I think he did well. The only thing resurrected was our running game!

I think Garrett is a good offensive coordinator, nothing more. Jerry Jones doesn't want a strong personality as head coach. That much is clear.

Okay gang, this is my final addition to the rules for our inaugural season. During the off-season we can review how things went and make some adjustments if needed.

For the playoffs, each game will count for 5 pts. So, this is a good way of catching up in the standings down the stretch. However, in order to make the regular season performance relevant, I want to add this rule.

All players will be eligible for the Wild Card Weekend, the first round of playoff games. However, after the results of Wild Card Weekend, only the top 5 players will advance to the next round of the playoffs, the Divisional Playoff Weekend. After the results of the Divisional Playoff Weekend are in, only the top 4 players will advance to the next round of the playoffs, Championship Game Sunday. Finally, after the results of Championship Game Sunday are in, the finalists, the top two players in the standings, will advance to the Salvation Bowl which will be the final pick of the year-the Super Bowl.

So, make sure you stay close enough in the standings to keep advancing in the playoffs.

Yup! The last STRONG personality we had was Bill Parcells. And while the public personna was: "We get along fine"....privately they had an acrimonius relationship; constantly in disagreement over draft picks, free agents etc. For example: When the Cowboys traded for the rights to Terrell Owens...a talented... but volatile and polarizing player it was Jones who insisted on the deal. Bill Parcells DID NOT want Terrell Owens. Just my own two cents~

Okay...another one of my NFL stories. We were playing the Pittsburg Steelers in the Cotton Bowl...and one of my brothers was there with me in the end zone. NFL balls have always been expensive....and therefore nice to get "for free" (Back then...there were no endzone nets and so the footballs floated freely through and into the crowd...where there would sometimes be a "scuffle" to get one! However on this particular occasion...and errant throw landed out of bounds and fairly close to the railing at about the 10 yard line. The ball sat there...for at least a minute.

No one from the Dallas bench ran over to retrieve it. So one fellow leaped the railing and landed on his feet on the sidelines (fans were/are not permitted to get on the field of play) Many fans including my brother and myself viewed this spectacle as the would-be "thief" climbed back over the railing (having to leap up to catch the bottom rail) By now..the many fans viewing this were cheering the guy on! He quickly ran up the steps of the Cotton Bowl....(having to look down the whole way because the steps are so close together) and into the waiting arms of one of Dallas' finest! Now everyone laughed! He escorted him out but came back with the ball...and threw a perfect pass to one of the bench crew~
