Thank you, Kelly.
This is a special day -- a day for celebration for those who served and came home safely;
A somber day for those who returned wounded -- physically, mentally or spiritually;
A sad day for those who mourn our sisters and brothers that didn't make it home.
A day of prayer that the fate of any MIA's and POW's will become known in order to bring comfort and closure to grieving families;
A day of reflection for everyone who is enjoying freedom in this country;
A day of thanksgiving for those who made this possible.
A day of hope that wars will end and those now serving in unfriendly territories will be able to return home safely -- and soon.
No matter what branch of service that we joined, we are thankful for those who bring honor to all veterans, especially today.
It was an honor and privilege to serve -- for love of God, our families; our friends, our neighbors and for peace.
