Folks, if you haven't signed the petition, called, or e-mailed your governor to say NO to implementing a state exchange with Obamacare, please do so now. There is a December 14 deadline!

So far 20 states have said NO to Obamacare exchanges. It's especially important if you live in one of the states listed on this link:

We can now add NJ to the list. biggrin

This latest ruling is definitely great news.

When the fines for not falling into line with the government mandates are so huge (e.g. for Hobby Lobby is would likely be about $1.3 million per day!), then the government may just as well burn the business, school of hospital to the ground.... The effect would be the same.

This same sort of (completely out of control government) massive fine tactic has happened many times with the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) against private citizens, home owners and small business owners.

This is a case where an Idaho couple (homeowners) is being fined $37,500 per day ($40,000,000 and counting) by the EPA - see www.wnd.com

This is a case where NOAA is prosecuting a marine biologist who runs popular whale-watching tours on California's Monterey Bay was was accused of feeding killer whales in 2005 during a research trip and misleading investigators by editing video footage of her encounters. If convicted, she could receive a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a half million dollars in fines - see www.freerepublic.com

Completely out of control government.

From the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference

"Send a Message In Support of a Pro-Life Insurance Exchange

In consultation with the USCCB and other pro-life groups after yesterdays announcement, it appears that a legislative remedy can be found to assure that the federally administered insurance exchange can exclude elective abortion coverage.

Access to health care remains a priority concern for Catholics, but no health insurance program should include coverage of abortion. Simply put, pregnancy is not a disease and elective abortion is not health care.

The PCC will continue to monitor the developments on this issue and will post updates as they are available."

Obamacare could drive Little Sisters of the Poor out of the US

"[A]s Little Sisters of the Poor, we are not strangers to religious intolerance, she wrote. Our foundress was born at the height of the French Revolution and established our congregation in it's aftermath. Our sisters have been forced to leave numerous countries, including China, Myanmar and Hungary, because of religious intolerance. We pray that the United States will not be added to this list."
