Much better- it's all about the eyes!
Thank you, kind sir. Good night and God bless!

The story of Abraham and Sarah is told in chapters 11-25 of the book of Genesis.

Marion, I have had the same problem. I would prefer even a brief "I'm not interested" to no response at all. I realize some of the non-responders are non-paying members who can not respond, but I wish more members would respond to initial contact.
It takes a lot of courage for me to send a message, or even an emotigram, to someone whos profile I like. I do appreciate that I am unlikely to be any man's "ideal", but feel a bit puzzled that NOBODY has replied to me at all. I have sent half a dozen messages to different gentlemen since Christmas. I would have thought it would be simple good manners to respond, especially in the - dare I say it - older age group to which I belong. Could I have some suggestions please, as I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.
Hey! I'm in the same "BOAT"!! I've been on other dating websites, three or four...SAME THING!! NOOOOOO ANSWERS! I personally think men these
days are "different". They want their cake and eat it too. I guess you have to be just about perfect...Let's face it, there are a lot more women out there than there are men. They get the best "pick". So.....you must be slim, beautiful, wealthy, exercize, cook, be professional, loving, generous...and what did I forget?? Forgive me but, I'm about to give up...For you all out there: GOOD LUCK!!!
You're not alone...I have given up completely and barely look at the site now...I am told that I should join forums etc...don't really have time to sit there all day on a forum...you know there is washing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, reading...lots of stuff to do. However I thought I would give it a shot...and I have.
Posting on the forums may get you a few more browses but it doesn't guarantee anymore interest.
What you said is so true. I would not have even thought of joining CM without taking Jesus and Mary with me. I will trust them to protect and guide me in finding me the right person God wants me to be with if its His will. That doesn't mean I'm not going to experience disappointments and the temptation to think that something is wrong with me because someone didn't respond to a message. It might not be here on CM that I find someone. I am using this time while on this site to grow in the fun moments and yes even in the disappointments of meeting new people. Its a journey that I have Jesus, Mary and all of the heavenly help that I am willling to ask for.
Marion you have a great profile and I'd say you are great company. Do NOT take no response too personally.
I have largely had a similar experience with a couple of exceptions. I do think location is a major factor (or at least I like to think it is :). Most members are in the States. But the the other two issues are kids and the format itself. I really think many people do not want to get involved with someone with kids, young kids especially. The format and functions of the site are pretty poor in presenting anyone in any kind of 3D. People are stats and where you have large numbers and a list of variables and filter options then people will have only the option of selecting on variables that hold absolute weight because they are not balanced against / set in the context of a real fabulous dynamic person.
I tell you what (sorry moderator) this whole area of Catholic dating and Catholic virtual community is ripe for the picking by a dynamic interactive site :)....
Having said that I joined last year for a couple of months and made a best friend. We still message daily and are very close even though we've never met, its not romantic so from that perspective its been worth it :).
Someone mentioned there are people on here for 10-12 years? Can I ask why?
I cannot answer why most of the men are here for so long.. But I can say after meeting a number of CM'rs many of them are not really looking.. Women stay on here for years because, quite simply they are ignored.. They don't get asked.. Women have to wait to be asked..
Awww, thanks Marie. One tip I would like to give everybody: when you have filled out your initial profile using the site's "form" layout, click edit profile and you can then delete everything in the boxes and write your own stuff. People who have done this appear far more 3 dimensional.
Additionally, I wish there was a "Like" button under posts as on Facebook, as I have read so much that I like and agree with and could sit all night reading them. Many thanks to everyone.
That's what the Thumbs up/Thumbs down buttons are for..
How about adding a check box to make it simple?
Just under it we can have one for "I tend to jump to uncharitable conclusions about other people without thinking of alternate explanations for the situation."
Oh My Gosh, between you and Jim, you're KILLING me! (rough day with the kids...needed the laugh!)
