I have been looking for Jayne in Texas and have not found her as of yet. There are some things I would like to do with a lady on my arm.

I was just recently told why are you doing this? Meaning -- why do you bother at your age about finding a man? It's as though reaching the age of 60 is the legal age limit, and STOP participating in the game we call life. Also, I was recently reminded by a PA at a local clinic of having at least two more decades of life. Up until that point in time, I had never given it a second thought. Well, I left feeling worse than I did coming in.

I would like to know if others my age have experienced this as well.

Whoever said this to you was being unkind or displacing on you their feelings of dissatisfaction about their own life, perhaps. There is no age to fall in love and to marry. Some people marry very early in life because the right person comes along then. Others marry for the first time when they are in their early 80's! They find the right person for them, then. Not everyone has the same timing. It is whenever they feel ready and the right person comes along. hug

Hi Nilda!

Are you kidding? I'm 77 and am still interested in meeting a man my own age to share quality time with, and perhaps even to share the rest of my life with. I met my husband when I was in my sixties and he was in his seventies. Unfortunately, two months after we married, we found out that he had Leukemia and was told he would probably have only three more years to live. We treasured every day together, held hands, went to daily Mass, traveled, and even stretched those three years to five. I wouldn't have given up one day with this beautiful person. God bless and good luck to you.

Hi, Luanne,

Thanks for the encouragement that it IS possible to find someone even at an "advanced" age! I believe I have a lot of love to share with the right person & will continue searching for that special someone.

Nilda, It is never too late. We need to have an open mind as well as an open heart. We don't know what lies ahead. So, let's be positive as well as prayerful. Blessings to you. Maryjane
