Umm.. Sorry your perception is that "things are going down hill"..but is that really the case? If you've missed some of the Posts, you'll know that many Members have discussed the Profile issue -stating that they take a hiatus and return after 6mos or sometimes even longer, and therefore they don't have to redo a new profile. You'll also see the Advertising issue was addressed,, which really isn't CM advertising...but issues with a Members browser of possibly some Ads getting through the Filter. Did the Easter Icons get put up after Easter.. seems like they did. Oops.. We all wish they were here earlier..but i'm sure they'll be there on time next year. laughing laughing I think the Glass is half Full. smile Praying theheart

While the timing of the release of the Easter emotes may seem odd, it makes perfect sense when considered in the context of the Church's liturgical calendar.

The two weeks preceeding the Resurrection of Our Lord are the most solemn of the Church's year, with all the statues and crucifixes in church covered to remind us of the Lord's passion: certainly not a time to be festive. On the other hand, the octave (8 days0 following Easter, ending the following Sunday, are considered one long feast -- even commemorating the feast of the Annunciation was deferred for two entire weeks: Holy Week and the Easter octave. The Easter season itself, called Eastertide or Paschaltide, is longer than Lent, lasting for 50 daysf rom Easter Sunday to Pentecost.

The ads displayed on the site are served by Google: CM (nor any other advertiser using the Google service) pre-approve specific ads. There are some filters, but they don't always catch the offensive ads. When you notice them, please report them via a Help ticket as explained in another recent topic, and the staff will block them.

It does make sense insofar as we are celebrating the Easter as a liturgical season.

The reason we like to see the emotes earlier is that many of us use them to send Easter greetings to other CM members. This is done in advance many times because it's difficult to do on Easter Sunday.
