Ashley, Are you able to meet with a good Catholic/Christian counselor?
Does your diocese/archdiocese offer some kind of healing/support group for divorced/separated Catholics? Please check with the Family Life office. If not, then many protestant churches offer programs such as Divorce Care. There is also an online daily reflection offered by DivorceCare; I think it is called One Day at a Time. Beginning Experience is a possibility, too. If there is a Rainbows group for children, then check into that for your kids. Explore all resources. Check the NACSDC website, too.
My heart goes out to you at this most painful time. My loving church community helped me immensely by just listening & praying.
Ashley, my prayers and thoughts are with you. If you cannot join CM, please feel free to contact me and we can email. My heart goes out to you and you are in my prayers!
Ben up here in Minnesota. I went through my Divorce somewhere around 2008-09 time frame. While I don't know nor will ever know what its like to have kids....Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart just rips in to when I see new postings by fellow catholics....if you ever want to talk please look me up. I know I live Minnesota but sometimes talking helps to.
take care & God bless,
