Great information. I've caught myself telling too many people of my vacation plans. I like that he avoided dogs- years ago when my kids were little we had Dudley, our 85 lb. Pit Bull. Nothing got past Dudley. shocked For several months after my aunt was robbed at gunpoint in her parking lot, either my son or I would meet her there with Dudley and escort her to her front door.

Even though I have a dog, but a small one (Westie), I think I am going to get one of those signs that say "Beware of Dog," now that
I saw that video.

I was walking him once when we were attacked by a massive rottweiler. Dudley pulled free of his leash and slammed into the much larger dog holding it from coming closer. Finally managed to chase it off by pounding it in the head with large rocks. It had attacked neighbors before, so it was captured and put down. Dudley was recuperating from getting run over by a car, otherwise the rottweiler would have been toast. No better security system exists in my humble opinion.

Marianne, your little Westie is big enough. He will alert you if someone tries to break in. Like the guy said, the sign may be enough!

Oh, my little Westie is fierce. But when she was training to be a therapy dog,
there was a German Shephard and a Pitt Bull in her class. They were young dogs, but massive. She was scared of them.
She would come to me up on her hind legs for me to pick her up.

A Mastiff in this neighborhood jumped on her, while they were playing, a few years ago, and I think he hurt her back.
So since then she hasmfear of big dogs.

If the Westie we had is typical, I can't imagine an intruder wanting to deal with one. They are cute and small, but nasty. Very territorial and went nuts if anyone walked anywhere near our house or even down the street. It was my sister's dog. It was only nice to her. I was afraid of it. laughing I think you're safe, Marianne.

Thanks for the reassurance. She is definitely territorial. She even guards the car when she is in it.

What did you think of the video and the suggestions the guy made about which houses he would rob?

I thought it was very helpful.

I agree. The piece was helpful. Everyone needs to reassess residential security.
