I was watching "Batman Begins" the other night and I noticed how closely the "League of Shadows" resembled the KGB. I've studied a little bit of military history and I remeber learning about how they sought to destroy their opponents through infiltration; they sought to penetrate the infrastructure of civilizations with opposing ideals. Has anyone else, who has seen the movie, seen the parallel?

I did not see Batman begins, but I found it interesting what you described
about the KGB, and how they infiltrated the infrastructure of civilizations
with opposing ideas.

Sometimes I think America is being infiltrated with anti-American ideas.

That's why it's so sad that McCarthy has been systematically made to look insane. Over the past 50 years, communists have been engaging in character assassination.

Apparently, the KGB engaged in "psychic warfare"; there are documented accounts of political abuse dealing with the whole field of "psychiatry". Are you aware that at one time, "psychology" was considered part of the occult?

Greg:

The more I see this country sink into socialism/Marxism, the more I realize
that McCarthy was on the right track. We no longer follow the laws on
the books, and that is not the way this country was founded.

Many of the unions here in NYC were started by communists. Also, the
student rebellions and riots in the 1960's were communist based. They
have infiltrated America little by little. And Mr. McCarthy would be telling
us from his grave, "I told you so."

I'm sure it's deliberate. Just as "Man from U.N.C.L.E" used Soviet-type bad guys, and "Get Smart" used Nazi-types.
If you write a show like that, you have to create a villainous force your audience can recognize as bad and be willing to root against.

That is a good answer, Marge.

I am going to have to find a way to watch "Get Smart". I can't believe that I thought it was a movie released a few years ago, and never knew it was a show.

I'm not sure if you've noticed this, but there is one common link between the people who are actively engaged in influencing culture: they have some sort of degree or training related to psychology.

Greg:

I would think they have more training in marketing.

Would you explain more of what you mean that they have psychology behind them
to influence others?

Years ago Ballantine Books published a series of works on " Espionage and Intelligence ", many interesting histories there. Another enlightening text is www.amazon.com

Thank you for mentioning the books on Amazon.com; I will check that out.

To address your question Marianne: I mean that they have a degree in psychology/sociology, and/or have had experience in "counseling/psychoanalysis". If I remember correctly, Sigmund Freud belonged to a group called the "Masons", which are anti-Catholic and(in some cases), directly affiliated with the occult.
