Got stopped one time after driving home from the gym after having had both jobs one day around 8 years ago. The policeman let me go when he found out I was just over tired.

Gosh, you assume everyone's a lousy driver?

I've only ever been stopped twice. Once, there was no way to deny I was speeding. The other time, I was 9 months pregnant and I think the cop was so shocked he just stammered, "Be careful" and backed away.

It would be nice to have men nursing professors though, make it a lot more interesting!! I prefer men professors...They don't seem so, auh, how do I say this correctly. I can't, hehe.

I wasn't flirting I was begging. My son was 16 and newly licensed. We were on the way to my sisters funeral. I let him drive. I was in the passenger seat and we had 2 nieces in the back seat. We were running slightly late. So I told him to speed it up. Within seconds a cop was pulling us over. The look on his face was devastating to me. So in a pleading voice I told the cop it was all my fault and we were running late to a funeral. The cop asked a few questions and let us go. I was so grateful.

In all my years, I don't recall that I've ever been pulled over by a female officer, so I never figured on flirting to get out of a ticket. Might land me in jail! That said, a very friendly officer once reduced my ticket significantly in order that he wouldn't have to arrest me and fill out a bunch of paperwork which would make him late getting home for dinner with his wife. He told me that if I hadn't been polite and friendly about the whole thing, he would have written me the maximum ticket and taken me to jail, so I was very grateful he was feeling lenient (and that he had a a dinner date with his wife after work).

Yes Christine, I have been pulled over in uniform. I smiled and the officer told me "I can't give a nurse, especially on in uniform, a ticket. Please slow down!" There are a few advantages to being a nurse.

I haven't even been stopped by a cop in over 30 yesrs. I got two tickets in 2 weeks way back then. I guess it was a lesson I never forgot.

The story is rather boring. Pulled over with a friend on the way to Austin, smiled..."so sorry"...the other officer did come peek in laughing but they were pretty young officers. They let us go with a warning. I have a tendency to drive too fast, so who know how fast we were going.

As for protective fathers, oh goodness YES! They also raise us to defend for and take care of our selves too! Watch out for those Texas women!

The speed limit. Sounds like those officers might have used the excuse to check your background?
