(quote) Mick-929473 said: I have found a great web site with new prophesies and instructions from Jesus and Mary: www.locutions.org It is rather extensive and it describes a coming darkness that will eventually lead to the coming of Jesus and a world purged of evil. It is broken up into different parts (called locutions) with different subjects for each locution. Some subjects are repeated. It is intended for everyone around the world of all faiths so there is a Catholics 101 (basics on the gospels); it contains locutions that describe parts of the gospels that many people have had difficulties with; other locutions are for people that are sorrowful because of a lost on due to war or suicide for example. It verbally chastises the countries of the world individually and indicate what we are each doing wrong; it also kindly chastises people of other faiths and the errors of their faith. It calls those in our own faith to spend hours a day growing in faith and other responsibilities. Giving faith a higher priority than anything else. Some of the subjects are what you heard before (e.g. in the gospel, during homilies) but I learn and am continuing to learn profound subjects that draw me closer to God and Mary. Mick
What is the background of the person writing the locutions?

Why do you believe that these prophesies have any validity?

Which bishop has approved the public dissemination of these prophecies?

The topic post is hidden until verification is provided that these prophecies are approved by the Church.

Thank you. As Catholics, we have already received all knowledge necessary for salvation. The gospels, sacred tradition, the magisterium are perfectly sufficient w/o private revelations of a dubious nature. Fatima, Lourdes, and other approved apparitions are very helpful but not necessary. If we learn the faith, pray, receive the sacraments, and live right, God will guide us. It's simple but not easy. God will always help those who earnestly seek him by doing his will. We run a big risk with such apparitions and locutions. Stick to the basics and we'll do fine.

As long as they are NOT approved by the church, we have no business even looking at them. Spiritual pornography. My church has people going around spreading out the prophesies of some whacko in Ireland. I guess gnostocism is still alive and well.

These are private revelations the validity of which was discerned by Monsignor Esseff who, among other things, was the spiritual director of Mother Theresa and was himself directed by Padre Pio.

These are personal revelations and don't fall into the category you are describing. They are very Catholic in there tone and I have been inspired by them. One example is when Mary described the conversations Jesus an her had when Jesus was growing up.

That may be well and fine, but caution is strongly urged when dealing with such things. The enemy can wear a pious disguise to lead the faithful off the path.

I've read through a few of these and experienced some real misgivings. Stay away from this sort of thing. Stick with the tried and true. We have already received all that is necessary for salvation. We don't need secrets, inside tracks, hints, or warnings. We step out of Peter's boat and into stormy waters when we do that. Be careful of anything dressed up as catholic or ultra-catholic. It can be a ruse of the enemy. Stay away from it and hold fast to what is tried and true. One of the comments above referred to this as "spiritual pornography". He may well be correct.

They must be approved by the ordinary (bishop/archbishop) of the diocese in which they are occurring or by the Vatican.
