His canonization is coming up soon.

Who did it? And why?

That really is a shame. I don't have any theory as to why they would steal it

at this time. He died not too long ago, so there should be plenty of his relics

still around so as to not make that robbery too important to his canonization.

Do you have any theories about this?

I don't any theories of why, I just found this in the news. The article stated it's more like he was kidnapped instead of stolen.

I am thinking they want to make money on his relic.

Make money???????????? That is sacrilegious. What a shame.

I do understand how the town feels as though it was a kidnapping.

If I know what happens in Italy when something is stolen from the church,

it may not be gone for long. IOW, it will show up soon.

It is not JUST a relic.

It is a first class relic containing some of his blood.

At first I thought it was a whole vial of blood. I know they drew his blood and put it in a vial.
Don't you think they would of drew more than one vial? Maybe there are things they don't tell everybody.
Why can't people leave people alone? There is always somebody cause trouble and hurt.

Even if it is only a theory it is one that does come to my mind right away when I read the article. His blood and crucifix can be hung upside down in a Satanic ritual, furthermore stealing is a SERIOUS sin because it is included in the Ten Commandments, which identifies the ultimate evils of Israels day, and of our own as well. If money were the the motive then why didn't the collection box along with other tangible relics get looted?

This news articles shows the vial of blood. I am confused, first it was blood on a cloth, now a vial. This one seems authenic.
