At 11 PM (CST) tonight, EWTN will be rebroadcasting a pontifical solemn high Mass in the Extraordinary Form from the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, in Prague. In addition to celebrating the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, it is also the shrine's 65th anniversary -- and the first such Mass celebrated there in over 50 years.

For those wondering what the traditional Mass is about, check it out if you are still up (if you don't get EWTN on cable, you can watch the streaming video on EWTN.COM -- click on the Television link at the top of the page). EWTN usually does a good job of providing commentary to explain what is going on, so this would be a good way to become familiar with the traditional Mass. Keep in mind, though, that because this is a pontifical Mass (celebrated by a bishop), in addition to the special circumstances, there will be more ceremony than at a parish Mass.
