Without a doubt the federal gov is out of control constitutionally, and every other way.

Homeland Security is adding to its collection of bullets again, this time 25 million shotgun shells....slugs and buckshot.......www.infowars.com
What does Barack Hussein Obama know that the rest of us don't?

BTW Peter, get your profile pic back up, you are disappointing a lot of CM women!

Speaking about Homeland Security, in order to avoid being screened to
death before we get on a plane, we might as well just access the plane
through the opening in the fences surrounding the airport.

This screening is a bunch of malarkey. On the news this morning a woman
said she did not want her bottle of breast milk X-Rayed. Can you blame her?

Let these less-than-professional, ego-driven screeners watch the perimeter
of the airport. Forget harassing upstanding Americans. Follow Israel's
example of airport screening. They have been doing it a long time and
are pretty successful at it because it has been a matter of life and death
for them.

Peter

I believe our government is already controlling almost everything, we must pray for the USA and realize how grateful we should be to God for the freedom he has blessed us with for so many years.

Department of Education responded to the above and is included in the links below. Discusses its Law Enforcement arm which is the Office of Inspector General. The FDA also has a law enforcement arm established in 1991 the Office of Criminal Investigations. And it appears Inspector Generals are in charge of investigations etc in a number of governmental departments. Established in 1978 and amended in 1988 looks like, so they also have been around quite awhile and utilize regular law enforcement protocols and standards.

If you wish to place blame , Blame congress, they have, over the years written mountains of legislation criminalizing many laws and regulations. As a result there are many more agencies involved and more people find them selves guilty of a criminal offenses because of these regulations.

Hi Lauren, I don't have all the cites handy, but the quantum ramp-up in Fed ancillary agency creation and armament began under Nixon. The Omnibus Bill of 1968 was the foot in the door. Now we are treated to tens of thousands of IRS and dozens of other alphabet agencies with SWAT troops.

All these outfits report to the Prez. I would much prefer that these bureaucratic agencies push their paper through our Courts, and then if upheld, call upon one accountable "police" agency, perhaps parts of the FBI and Marshall's Service combined, for enforcement/warrant service.

HI Bernie,

I would suspect one or two merged branches would be beneficial but probably not easily manageable. It seemed that they had to obtain Federal warrants? I was just pointing out they've been around for awhile, not necessarily something new. Although, since the LA shootout several years back where the LAPD was outgunned by the guys with automatic weapons there has been a definite increase in SWAT development, everywhere, even in little towns where it sometimes seems anyone can get on the force. 9/11 provided an additional impetus and the funds for security afterwards led to a lot of departments that previously didn't have funding to all of a sudden have funding for ramping up their capabilities. I don't have a clue what the answer is, or if there is really a need to worry.

Hi Peter, I would say so. Look at the recent BLM response to the Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy. They showed up with I've heard 200+ agents, including snipers. They are also pondering taking control of tens of thousands of acres along the Red River in Texas. Texas just warned them about this. The federal government is turning into a monster.

Several government agencies have ordered huge amounts of ammunition. Why? If we look at the national debt, including entitlements, we're bankrupt. Maybe they know a collapse is coming and are looking to bolster their authority? Who knows?

The link below talks about debt as of 2011. Now, we're at 17+trillion "official" nation debt. A rough calculation of debt $211 trillion federal debt would be (330 million people) about $640,000 per person, including infants and seniors! It can't be paid back, except by massively devaluing the dollar. That will cause unrest. Maybe that's what all the ammunition and increasing authority is for.
