Every time you are in a tough situation, something that makes you angry, sad, or distressed, or even when you find yourself in a moment that brings you great joy and peace, you remember it is God's will for you to be exactly there at that moment, doing whatever you are doing, provided its not sinful. In this way, we can have joy in every moment because we want nothing but what God wants for us at all times. I recommend everyone read this book! Another truly great one, Introduction to the Devout Life by St Francis de Sales.
I haven't read Uniformity yet, but I've placed it on my list now, thank you!
I have read Introduction to the Devout Life. It was actually a required text in one of my classes at FUS. Despite the fact it was "required", I read it more like a devotional book and it has become one of my all-time favorites. I think the professor intended for that to happen... I would highly recommend it as well!
