Of Dowries and Hope Chests
So what can I bring for a dowry, my dear?
The monies are gone_ my life in arrears.
And what could be left in my old cedar chest?
Dusty and scratched, not looking its best. The thin veneer cracked, it needs to be varnished.
My china is chipped, my good silver tarnished.
No earthly good if thats how you measure.
Humility, patience and wisdom my treasure.
A little poem prayer in honor of our departed & the bereaved:
especially CM Co founder & 911 folks
Come Holy spirit with your gentle breeze
Lift our spirits with Your Own
So that we may once again
