Another thought: It's very easy to become a saint, you only have to do ONE thing.
Give all of you free will over to God. That is giving up your, I.........ego...totally.
I love this! all our lives we have to fight against our 'EGO', May we all remember that that's the reason there is the devil, evil one out here on the earth. As i keep saying, you fall and get down on your knees and then rise up again. Everyone can be a saint! :)
@Kate:"Be subjects to one another in Christ." - that summs it's up ...so,that even if any are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives." It all comes down to overcoming one's ego and the foundation should be layed by considering our own attitude, being willing to surrender our own will to God's will and living It by viewing all events in the light of His Word without giving right of way to self pride (the original sin, leading to fall and destruction),refusal to serve and resorting to idle words. Unconditional trust in Christ leads to unconditional love and trust in the one sharing our journey of life.
Thanks for you input Alina! God bless you
Gr8 advice! Thanks so much for the beautiful insights.
By the way, Do you think men too give up on their marriages due to pride? As christians what should we do and as catholics specifically? This is without taking the Christianity out of Catholicism, since most of us are guilty of doing that; Living as if those are two different things. Yet we all know that we are called so due to being Christ's followers and the elect of God. Personally the book of Peter in the New testament is the most encouraging to some of the struggles i may be going through.
Darn -- I thought Pride was a furniture polish....
You must be reading between the lions.
Yes, a Pledge must come first.
