The Proclamation of the Kingdom of Heaven - Third Mystery of Light

Faith in the Word of God

Heavenly Father, as we offer you this mystery, we open our hearts to the teachings of your Son Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of God. We come in our darkness to be filled with the Light of Christ who says I am the Light of the world.

We come in our emptiness to be filled with His Wisdom, we confess our sinfulness and pray for the grace of being transformed by his words and become holy.

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee. In the Proclamation of the Kingdom of Heaven, blessed are Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary Mother of God, my mother, pray for us sinners, to make the Word of God our home now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Points for meditation

1. He came to save the world, and his own denied him before Pilate.

He showed us the path to goodness, and they drag him along the way to Calvary.

He gave example in everything he did, and they prefer a thief convicted of murder.

He was born to forgive, and —without cause — they condemn him to the gallows.

He came along the paths of peace, and they declare war on him.

He was the Light, and they hand him over to the powers of darkness.

He brought Love, and they repay him with hatred.

He came to be King, and they crown him with thorns.

He became a slave to free us from sin, and they nail him to the Cross.

He took flesh to give us Life, and we reward him with death.

- St. Josemaria Escriva, from The Way of the Cross

I have a 2nd job interview on Oct 1st. I am on the "short list" of people being considered. I might be the only one.

So, please pray that this job opportunity is a good fit for both myself, and for the Catholic employer.
