Sonsoles, our priest explained that there are two common discernment venues, the Ignatian and the Carmelite. While he was teaching us the Ignatian process at the time, he looked at me and understood that I would probably be more inclined to the Carmelite. You may be more the Ignatian. Fr. Timothy Gallagher's books are easiest to follow for that. God Bless you!
I have read an article about dicerning when God speaks and evil speaks, I have had a lot of confusion recently over certain issues. This is helping me. Sometimes I wonder if God is speaking to me and telling me which way to go, if it is a longing in my heart to take another route or if it is evil trying to confuse me over the current route. What do you think? hvae you ever wondered it? Have a blessed Sunday!!!
Have peace in realizing that even the great saints were tormented from time to time.
The recommendation to go to Confession is excellent. I've heard it said that the Sacrament of Reconciliation is the best exorcism.
I would suggest finding a spiritual director - a holy priest to discern/guide you. The devil hates obedience. Also, have him bless your residence.
I would, also, suggest wearing a St. Benedict Medal which has been blessed by a Benedictine Monk with their special exorcism prayers. www.osb.org
You mentioned obtaining a new medal of the Virgin Mary. If it's not already blessed, have a priest do so.
You will be fine. This too shall pass.
yahweh is my shepherd i shall not want, he lies me down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters, he restores my soul, he leads me in the way of righteousness for his name sake, even though i walk through the valley of shadow of death, i will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me, you prepare for me a table in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil my cup overflows, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and i shall dwell in the house of yahweh forever, amen.
