Romney's tax returns for Obama's student records. Kind of makes you wonder what is in those student records, doesn't it?

I think that is a great trade, Joe. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with, James. Seems there are so many things and documents Obama doesn't think we Americans need to see or hear. Many of us are wondering why?

I do agree with your last statement.

I expect then, that you did not vote for Mr. Romney, since more babies would die if he were elected, too.

The fact is, there is no sin in material aid. Matters of material aid are matters of prudential judgment. Voting is not an intrinsically evil action, therefore, it cannot be treated as sin in and of itself. That being the case, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church deftly points out, one has to look to the intention and circumstances to judge the morality. If the action is committed with gravely evil intention, the action is rendered extrinsically evil and grave sin by intention. This is where formal aid comes in to the discussion, because by formal aid, the agent unites his intention and will to a grave evil.

Driving a car is not evil, the material is not evil.

Driving a car to kill a person is evil, the form (i.e., intention) is evil.

Another fact is that no one yet has had the chutzpah enough actually to run a campaign upon the premise that no longer will the policies of the US government favor baby murder, that one will reverse Roe v. Wade, and that one will criminalize the act of abortion.

Until that happens, by your reasoning, a self-professed Catholic cannot vote in a popular presidential election, since more babies will die even if a candidate who is merely apathetic in regard to abortion ascends to the office of President.

No, I never cared what was in those tax returns. It didn't seem irrelevant to whether or not he would be a good candidate. If there was something illegal, obviously the IRS would have dealt with that.

Right, Cheryl, he didn't flip-flop on it. You didn't follow the news too carefully, did you? You're real free with your accusations, aren't you? If you are free to write that what I wrote is a "liberal lie", am I free to write that what you wrote is a a far-right delusion?

George Romney, Willard Romney's old man, was in fact a decent man, and if George was running, we wouldn't be arguing. George was honest, hard-working, and a true American industrial and political hero. One cannot say the same for Willard. George is the one who started the tradition of releasing his income tax returns for public scrutiny. Except for the two he released, Willard is the one who broke it. Willard's wife noted that they wouldn't release any more, because the more they released, the more they got attacked.

Kind of makes you wonder what is in those tax returns, doesn't it?

Yes and no. And Michele hasn't said, "The more we talk about my husband's academic records, the more we get in trouble."

In any event, the election is over, so the whole point is moot. And I'm certain Obama didn't get to be head of the Harvard Law Review simply on the basis of charm, personality, and good looks.

I figured months back that Romney had a decent chance of winning if he could only do one thing: keep his mouth shut. As we all know now, he couldn't, and Romney's mouth became his own worst enemy. And Ann Coulter was spot-on when she said that, "if we don't run Chris Christy, Romney will be the nominee, and we'll lose." And lose the Republicans did.

Hi Katherine,

Nice to meet you. Okay, that's enough small talk.

It doesn't matter any more. Romney lost, and that's it. Geesh, the election was over almost 3 weeks ago, and there's still the wailing and gnashing of teeth. I've been here since 2003, and I haven't seen anything like this.

James - Romney lost because of many Catholics in Name Only. I heard you libs whining for 8 years when Bush was prez, I would think you could handle a few weeks.

BO has spent millions sealing access to any of his past, doesn't take a whole lot to figure he is hiding a bunch of stuff he doesn't want people to find out. He has been the biggest fraud ever put on the American people, line up and drink the juice.

No, you're wrong. And Ann Coulter was right.

Is that what I am? A "lib"? And what makes me a "lib"?
