The purpose was to emphasize we with a slightly different meaning. But after sending it, the system stripped the quote marks. It doesn't do that in posts only in messages. Its not the first time.
Did you compose your message in a Microsoft-based program, like Microsoft Word or Works before copying and pasting the message onto the site?
I use OpenOffice, which is similar to Word.
If you use a text editor that uses Microsoft-style or "smart" quotes, they do get stripped out. They technically should get replaced and not stripped, but that was a side project that never quite saw the light of day.
Thanks. So, I should be able, after doing the paste into CM message box, to delete the quotes and put them back in. Correct?
