Lina, I'm interested to join you and other CMers on this meet up, but have to know the date to be sure if I can come or not. I have not been to AZ and I think it would be nice to go meet fellow CMers and join the fun. I like to explore new places/areas...see the natural wonders God has created, and caves are among them especially the ones that are not yet altered by humans...the ones that are very natural on the inside. I heard that the Colossal Cave and Kartchner Caverns have marvelous cave formations but Kartchner Caverns is home to some of the world's notable cave formations including the stalactites and stalagmites. The different formation of those beautiful stalactites and stalagmites really fascinates me. The thrill of going into a dark cave with the headlamp flashlight, see the natural beauty that's inside the cave and the only natural light that you see is at the entrance/exit IS awesome! And of course the Grand Canyon is also awesome.

How about bouncing around on a Pink Jeep tour in Sedona's red rocks?

Hello Lea,

Have you been to Mitchell Caverns? They're just off I-40 between Barstow, CA and Needles CA. They're probably a 3 1/2 hour drive from you. They're quite magnificent but not many people know about them. Google it sometime, if you haven't been there I really recommend them and they're not that far from you. Great display of stallactites and stallagmites. I hope you can join everyone at the Phoenix event. Lina has a really great itinerary planned.

God Bless!

Dan

Hey Brenda, that wasn't a cave, that was just a wine cellar. We'll have to show you some real caves sometime. Actually some of the larger caves are not as confining as what we were in at the mining town we went to. They're acutally a lot less scarry and some you ride an elevator down to. No narrow, confined stairways.

Getting excited for April!

Lea,

Bev is meeting me here and we are driving there together if you'd like to join us. You only live about 20 minutes from me. If you are interested, we are leaving Newport Wednesday morning, and returning Sunday. Message me if you are interested... we have 2 more seats in the car!

And heh... if we could find them, the caves Dan describes are on the way... I think???

It's going to be fun!
