Claudine trust me that this is not true. Beside which, you would be a catch for any Catholic man and a blessing. Don't be discouraged.

It's amazing how people can appear so different and yet be so similar. Communication, trust and open-mindedness are key to any relationship where the couples are from different backgrounds (not just interracial). In the case of interracial relationship, is important to realize that one is dating the person one picked out, not a stereotype. Open minded communication in such a relationship helps the couple realize that many times the fears they may have about such "stereotypes" are exactly that - a fear not actually an issue. And they may just be surprised to find out how strikingly similar they really are. So, for any serious relationship, I believe it is important to look beyond superficial things such as skin color lest you may miss out on the God-chosen partner.

Maybe its the multi-culturalism of NZL, but I just can't understand why people wouldn't consider another person as a partner based solely on their skin colour.

I have actually seen a few male profiles with "only white women please", which frankly, made me vomit in my mouth a little.

I hate racism.

Besides, kids born of interracial couples are so cute!

Yip.

One where it was blatantly as I quoted, and quite a few others that implied it.

I think you simply have to follow you heart, and don't get discouraged. Also, as a white male who actually is seeking someone I could possibly have a family some day soon, and I look at women of color.
