I will definitely contact you next time I am near California, I was sure you were far from

the Bay Area. Wish you could have come. Please enjoy your weather as I head back to a snow storm :o)

Hi Marian,

today I went to the hardware store- I will be planting at the house

where I am staying(a tree fern) and might hit the irrigation system!

What we did in Livermore was on Friday after 4pm we set up vases and set

flowers in them; one to a vase. We arranged them into collections and

set them on the tables while dining on Chili and carrot soup. (Being Friday I

scooped out a cup of chili an put it aside to try on Saturday.

On Saturday we spent an hour setting up flowers and then judged the show.

I had left the chili on a shelf(forgot to take it home) and the consensus

was that it was 48 degrees overnight- I had to trash my cup of chili faint

Then we judged the flower show: 990+ stems of daffodils with many of the

multifloreted types(Tazettas)

After judging the show we had Pizza (Yay sausage!) and talked to the visitors,

I also went into the nursery and checked out the citrus trees. We had supper at

Tierra Mia and home to Martinez.

Sunday at the show after lunch and talking to visitors was time to tear down the show.

I had a good time at church- bought some carved olive wood at their Bethlehem sale.

CHuch in Martinez Sunday morning and farmers market downtown afterwards.

I brought back a dozen daffodils which I shall collect pollen from and use to try to

encourage some seeds back home, I just rescheduled my flight to avoid the

snowstorm in Chicago(SOuthwest says tonight and all day tomorrow- 10 inches

predicted)and will fly through Vegas to get home- my SIL told me she expects good weather(no snow)

in St Louis.

I have collected 20 pounds of oranges from trees in the neighborhood- liquid sunshine until my garden

blooms...
