Full text of the statement from Allegheny College President Jim Mullen issued Friday:

"Our campus is and will be a place where a wide range of ideas and topics can be openly discussed, and that includes conversations about sexuality that might be uncomfortable for some. The notion of the Allegheny campus as a safe place for such free and open discussion is one of our most cherished values.

But we hold respectfulness to be a cherished value as well. This means we are instinctively thoughtful about how our words and actions impact others. As a community, we are thoughtful about what we say. About how we say it. And also, where we say it.

The decision to hold this event in our Chapel felt disrespectful to members of the Allegheny community who regard it to be inappropriate for a house of worship. Whether or not everyone agrees with that feeling it is a matter of respect to take those feelings into account and to accommodate them if possible. That could have been accomplished without restricting open discussion by selecting another site. I wish that another venue had been chosen."

Very Interesting that of all the places that were available for these sexperts to host their seminar at, they just had to choose the Ford Memorial Chapel to be the location to teach students masturbation. Sounds to me like a demonstration of sorts, just like the group of protestors who showed up in Mass at another CMers Parish to pray the Rosary in favor of Same Sex Marriage.

Who knows what these two sexperts reason for holding this seminar in a place of worship where Mass is held? Perhaps because so many Catholics take liberty to use condoms and other birth control methods as well as engage in pre-maritial sex and still attend Mass regularly, then they felt like well then it would be O.K. TO teach masturbation there.

This incident brings a most question to mind. " HOW WOULD HAVE CHRIST RESPONDED TO THIS OCCURANCE" Why anyone who has read the Holy Bible know how he acted out in anger irked because the temple being used as a marketplace.

It can get worse, its going to get worse. This really is nothing. Still repugnant though.

Again we see the ignorance of people, Onan was struck dead for "spilling his seed" because the punishment for ignoring the law of fathering your dead brother's child is social chastisement and in extreme cases, being kicked out of the community. It wasn't death.

Really could have been done with a little more tact, putting smething like that in a chapel, what? The uni didnt' have anywhere else for them? I find that hard to beleive. The choice of venue was clearly obviously done with intent to offend.

That was my first thought, Naomi.

Well looks like the president Jim Cullen wishes another place was picked .. although he doesn't offer an apology .. I think the students that worship there and the priest that says mass there should make their voices known .. We need to pray for those people that are Anti Catholic and Pro Abortion and Pro Homosexual... Maybe they should ask for a different venue to have their masses said and see if their accomadations are considered.. Among all the darkness in the world ... Jesus's light will not be extinguised if people of good faith stand up and continue to pray and be good witnesses...

I read this from the Catholic Defense League website. What's worse, they did this in the Ford Memorial Chapel, a chapel where Catholic Masses are held.

This, then amounts to an intentional act of sacrilige.

I remember when it came out on EWTN about some folks showing up for mass not modestly dressed, and I am talking about them being in their swimsuits, flipflops and cameras. As inapropriate as their attire was it was minor in comparison to those two sexperts' act of intentionally showing disrespect. They were peacefully escorted out of the cathedrals and firmly advised not to return unless dressed appropriately. Now I believe there is a time for everything. This I believe was a time for the students who worship in that Chapel and for the Priest yhat says the Mass there to make the voices heard firmly. I will admit if my voice were among that crowd it would carry an angry tone to it. O and you are so right about praying for the Anti Catholic and Pro Abortion and Pro Homosexual.

Wow, have I lived a sheltered life- that is beyond disgusting. Had a good talk with my grandson before he began classes last fall at Florida State. There are not only moral temptations, but political and religious extremist groups on campuses as well. He's a good solid kid- Eagle Scout, conservative and is going to both College Republicans and Libertarian meetings. He's not above partying, but he hangs with a responsible crowd. So far, knock on wood!
