Aren't the US and NATO behind the trouble in Syria in the first place? The great mystery is how Al Qaeda magically pops up wherever NATO interests are most intense. Damndest thing.

That's what happens when you collaborate with your supposed enemies to bring "democracy."

Makes it quite convenient when the time comes to blame somebody for the nation falling into choas instead of becoming the "free" nation sold to the press as a Causus Belli, doesn't it?

Yes...so many low-level disturbances surrounding the US and NATO's drive to contain China and Russia. Strategically important Pakistan is on the verge of collapse while Islamic radicals are turning up all over North Africa. Interestingly enough, Africa is a major source of raw materials for China.

How ridiculous is it that our geopolitical strategists are trying to cut off an industrial power our own economic policies helped create? The insanity of it all...

As an aside, there has been noise recently about a Syrian Chemical attack, which the Obama administration declared to be a "red line" that would bring us into the conflict officially as opposed to now merely covertly.

Ban ki Moon, the head of the U.N, has now said that the U.N. will investigate the incident. That request, BTW, was made by the Syrian government itself, that claims the attack was with clorine gas launched from an improvised rocket launched into government controlled territory.

That should give the "War for Democracy" and "War against Terror" folks trouble since the U.S. supports the rebels. mischievous

(Of course, they'll just say "well those guys were the terrorists, ie the bad rebels. We only support the good ones," and wag the finger) rolling eyes
