I'll be traveling to Denver in August for the wedding of my CM bestie Erin. hyper I am so honored that she has asked me to be in her wedding. I can't wait to see her again and to meet her husband to be. Plus, it will be the 20th anniversary of Blessed John Paul II visit to World Youth Day, almost to the day! I was there five years ago, and I am looking forward to commemorating my first pilgrimage again.

I have spent a small amount of time in Chicago and I know the museums are wonderful. I hear there are many, many other things to do there also. Walking downtown was nice and on the waterfront too...

Thank you, Meg. I am excited about this trip. I know this sounds crazy but I am hoping to see a tornado too - isn't it tornado season?

Yes, it is tornado season. I have seen more than a few. They are exciting and, unlike hurricanes, don't usually wipe out everything for miles. Have a fun trip!

No big trips planned as of yet...but hoping to do a canoe camping trip with friends, a visit back to Saskatoon where I used to live to see friends, and trips back to the land of living skies and green and white to visit family. Who knows, maybe I'll be adventurous and go on a bigger trip sometime too! I've been on a few shorter trips the last few months as well.

I'm heading to Poland for 2 weeks in Aug. which includes a day in the Tatra Mountains, and time to visit the birthplace & church where my favorite saint (JPII the Great) was born and received his early sacraments!

Hi Meg, I once accompanied my Father and his group of WWII veterans to Branson. The veterans were honored at each and every show we attended; it was one of our best reunion trips. I absolutely loved Branson! I hope I have the opportunity to take my kids there someday.

My vacation time is very limited this summer. I expect to make a weekend trip to see cousins in the Louisville area.

Hope you enjoy Branson and thanks for the tip on Silver Dollar City.

I was in St Louis for a few days. The Botanical Gardens are exceptional. They are really well done. Also The Hill, with the Italian markets and restaurants is great. I was looking at a book portraying the St Louis historical Catholic Churches too. That would be a fun tour to do.

Meg,
I have plans to go to Lake Tahoe for a few days this summer. I have usually made this trip every year. And my cousin has reminded me it has been 3 years! (he is retired there) I'll of course have to schedule a flight but the rest is easy. Just stay with him! (his home backs up to a National Park and the scenery there is awesome) The weather in the summer is perfect for someone like me who is used to melting in 100 degree heat....in the summers here in Dallas. So....while there won't be skiing....maybe hit a couple of the casinos and just relax. He is one of the funniest, fun-loving guys I know.

Sounds great, Jerry. I was in Reno once for a convention and we were going to drive to Tahoe but ran out of time. I hear it is beautiful and fun.
