Meg it is I who should be doing the thanks. It is amazing how God blesses His Church with such varied gifts. However, each of them are so beautiful in their own right. I have learnt so much from everyone's insight on the story. It so important and uplighting when we are open to learning from each other and sharing.

Agreed. S/he who is content with little, possesses everything. And that's a gift from God you can bank on.

Kristen I do agree with that statement but to an extent. God does not want us to settle for someone as a spouse. That does mean perfection or or beauty, financially well off as defined by the secular world, it means someone that you can get to heaven with who you discern appropriately with the focus of finding out if this is God's will for you. Marriage is so important and is for life. We should take that step with caution and much prayer and discernment. Trust God to give you the pearl that is needed for your santification.

Yes, who we marry could well affect our salvation.

Apologies for all the typos in that and yes I agree Meg. Just like a religious or priestly vocation is taken seriously we should also take our marriage vocation with as much intention.

Hi Ladies,

just wondering if anyone out there can relate to FEELING old and tired? I see people much older than me who seem to have a ZEST for life, that I don't really have right now. Maybe it's partly due to my 18 year old graduating and leaving for college soon, 18 years of raising her alone, no vacations in a very long time? I have a chance to finish law school but I keep hearing tapes in my head that say, "You're too old to do that." I'm a bit isolated where I live, so I hope it's okay I threw this topic into this thread :)
