Rachel asks for prayers if not a massage! She did something to her neck/shoulder and has some discomfort that makes rolling out pie crust, etc, not as enjoyable as usual!
Rachel also admits that although her vegetable garden is doing very nicely and producing an abundance of fresh yummies, her flower garden skills are atrocious -- her Mary garden is not looking like a nice prayer place for Our Lady but more like an insult! She wonders if she can blame her sad looking flowers on the extreme heat and repeated storms but is pretty sure it's just her lack of a green thumb. She prays that her true match has a green thumb and loves flowers!

Hello, all! Sam is grilling steaks for her kids and sipping a little chianti. Earlier today we had a summer thundershower and the kids went and played in the downpour. We're talking swimsuits, shrieking and laughing and actual hair washing under the downspout. At the end we even got a rainbow! Sam has been a little sad of late, so the rainbow was just the reminder of God's promises that she needed. Sam wishes a peaceful evening to all.

Anne is glad there is relief to be had by cool changes and beautiful thunderstorms-and rainbows fluffy
Sam Anne is reminded of Summer floods here, from your description.Anne's house was somewhat isolated one morning, she awoke to the sun shining, sounds of water gurgling, her sunflowers still up right and children amazed at water levels creeping up the road and a" gurgler" out the front drain.Anne's children had fun on blow up mattresses on fast flowing water in the paddock. The clucky hen gave up as her nest floated away..

Christie just finished reading statuses and thinks people here are very clever and have very interesting lives. She just went for a nice walk with Lizzie and Bella, her two dogs and now is about to go prepare a nice big lasagne for Monday night weekly dinner. She enjoyed Mass and the readings today and wishes you all a lovely week!

Christie also thinks playing on blow up mattresses in the water sounds like lots of fun and she has always wanted a few clunky chickens of her own.

Leyden loves Anne's new picture in which we can see her beautiful face!

Leyden had a bittersweet weekend between a funeral service and visiting with amazing friends. She was busy planning some short trips to the Jersey Shore and Vermont, continuing her training for El Camino (which funnily enough involved baking dark chocolate banana walnut brownies...and then eating them while her sister's cat whom she is "sitting", watched her with a little too much judgement), writing, watching some sci-fi and chatting with new friends.

Now Leyden is eyeing her mountain of ToDo's at work and wishing it were Sunday, cause that's her fun day.

Keith had a good weekend of friendship, a bit of hard labor, some automotive work, Mass, fellowship with his brother Knights, and great conversations... with an unsuccessful attempt at a brake job on his truck being the only "down point" of the weekend. Now, Keith is finishing a quick "dinner" before embarking on brake job, rd 2.

Margo had one heck of a Monday at work! She is glad to be home, chillin' a bit and chewing the fat here. (Isn't that a great combination.)

BTW, our own status thread Michael of Duluth (aka Michel duNord because Duluth is so Up There), is calling himself Michael Due South because he has bought property in Florida and is moving there after employmt finds him a job there. laughing

Christine from CA: Welcome to the Status Thread. Post early and often! waveWe are friendly people.
