Mary, I have seen the results of that bacteria and she truly is a very lucky woman.
I will pray for her tomorrow at mass, her continued journey to better health
and also for you and your family. It is a long road ahead as you already know.

angel May the angels watch over you all.

I am happy to confirm - CM prayer power is still mighty strong. Mom was released from the hospital on Thursday - and per her Doctor's instructions, I drove her directly to a good rehab center closer to our house. Eileen (above) is soooo right, that bacteria is an extremely nasty one - it could have easily taken her. Her doctor doing emergency surgery in his own office saved her life.

She's confined to bed with her legs elevated, and getting IV infusions three times a day of a very strong antibiotic. She is slowly making progress. They need to keep hitting her hard to get any last speck of infection that may still be lingering in her system.

Again, my entire family is so very appreciative of all of your good wishes and prayers. They continue to hold her up. God is good!

The Prayer of St. Patrick

I arise today
Through the strength of heaven;
Light of the sun,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of the wind,
Depth of the sea,
Stability of the earth,
Firmness of the rock.

I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me;
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's hosts to save me
Afar and anear,
Alone or in a mulitude.

Christ shield me today
Against wounding
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through the mighty strength
Of the Lord of creation.

Mary, beside that tear jerking prayer that Jim posted with all its beauty, I wanted to say God is great! He is THE miracle worker. I have seen healthy people become amputees and worse from that bacteria not to mention an already compromised elderly woman. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Keeping the faith,
